The atmosphere was chilly, winds blowing at an incredible speed. The area was mountainous, high enough to barely have vegetation yet no snow could form. A figure was seen sitting by a ledge. In it's paw was a few berries that grew next to him. Of course, this wasn't going to fill his stomach. He made the best of whatever he could get. Standing on it's hind legs, Lucario sensed a disturbance in the aura fields. He then saw a few Pokemon rush by him, as if they were retreating from battle. It was very obvious to what was causing this.

Humans.
Lucario felt his rage increase. In his lifespan, he had seen some of his friends get taken away by trainers. Other Pokemon would confront the human, only to get knocked out. None were sucessful in battle, few were forced to fight in self defense.
He had to stop it.
Lucario began to focus on the aura around him. The appendages on his head began to float from intense concentration. He spotted his target, however he also sensed weak energies. He sprinted across the terrain at top speed, soon noticing a trail of fainted Pokemon. Their auras were very faint. Leaping across an old bridge, he soon spotted the human. She was close to finishing her opponent, shouting orders to her Charizard.

"Yippee! Good job Charizard!"

Lucario landed before the dragon, swinging his torso to face the human.

"Leave! Now!" he ordered.

Not seeming threatened at all, the girl flipped out her Pokedex.

"Lucario, the Aura Pokémon. Lucario has the power to detect their opponent's thoughts and actions by reading their aura." said the Pokedex.

"Woah! A Lucario! We gotta have him on our team! Charizard! Use Flame Burst!"

Lucario began to move as the attack was in process. However, he was hit. The attack had hurt him significantly to the point were he could barely stand.

He charged up an Aura Blast, ready to release it when fully charged.

"L-leave human..."

"Huh?"

He threw the ball of energy at the dragon, causing it to explode in it's face. However, it didn't seem to take much damage.

"W-what!?"

The human gave a smirk of satisfation before shouting her next command.

"Charizard, use Fly!"

The dragon soared into the sky, dodging Lucario's Metal Claw.

He was puzzled by this move, for he had never seen it before. He threw a few Aura Blasts into the orange sky, each missing their target. Soon, he saw the reptilian nose diving towards him. It was moving too fast for him to dodge, slamming its body into Lucario. He felt a huge wave of pain, blood beginning to flow from his mouth.

He then saw a red and white ball thrown at him.
