I wasn't expecting a call from Alfred for he had gone to China on a business trip. There was such a big time difference that neither of could communicate at reasonable times. But of course, the git would call anyhow.

I know what you're thinking; "How sweet! He wants to talk to him!", No, that's not how it went. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate a call from him, but not in the middle of the bloody night!

Now, I wouldn't have minded much if it were something sweet like some cliché Hollywood movie line or just a simple "Hello" but no. What he had said was:

"Dude, I'm like totally standing on a bunch of dead guys right now!" The American all but shouted, excitedly. How do you respond to that?

Still a bit dazed from sleep, I stare at my phone in surprise. "What?"

"I'm standing on the Great Wall of China!"

"Then why didn't you just say so like a normal person?" I asked, groaning in annoyance.

"Because where's the fun in that?" When I didn't reply, Alfred continued. "The view is amazing here. It's more like a painting then a real place." I could the awe in his voice, and I smile softly. He's is still so young and easily amazed.

"Well, I'm glad you're having fun."

"I wish you were here with me, Iggy, to see all this beautiful land scape." He said, sweetly. "I miss you, babe." There's the romantic I love.

"I miss you, too, love" I answer, honestly. I have missed the lovable git so very much. Even if he tests my temper, I can never be without him for long. I yawn into the phone, eyelid drooping a little. Alfred hears my tiredness through the phone and chuckles.

"You tired, babe?"

"Well, it is very late." He chuckles again. I love it when does that.

"Well then, I have to let go."

"That would be much appreciated"

"Goodnight, Iggy. I love you."

"I love you, too"

Well, I guess I cannot be mad at him for calling me that night, but, hopefully, he'll be more considerate when he calls next time.

Oh, sorry. That's my phone. It's Alfred. I'll put on speaker so you may speak with him if you'd like.

"Iggy, did you know the Chinese food at my place is not real Chinese food!?"
