Just a little one-shot based on a dream I had from thirteen years ago. Now you must be wondering, why thirteen years? How can it specifically be that long ago? Well, it all has to with what I saw in the dream. The boy and the girl were very much Ash and Misty, "Pokemon" started airing in North America in 1998. The girl being trapped inside a crystal is very much reminiscent of "The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons", which arrived in North America in 2001. Finally, the boy running into a large, cavernous chamber and over to the unconscious (and in this case imprisoned) girl while some large monstrosity dramatically emerges from a nearby body of water is very much reminiscent of the film adaptation of "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets", which was released in theaters in 2002. Therefore, the dream must be thirteen years old. Now, I apologize for making this long introduction even longer but I must say that the monster is of my own invention, having not been influenced by anything I saw on television and was very much just a gigantic, elemental wyvern that had no name. It has a name now, is smaller, not an elemental and has very much undergone a heel-face turn but to stay true to the source material that is my own subconscious the monster shall be unnamed. Enjoy and review.

The echoing of footsteps was all he could hear. A boy of ten, running for his life in this vast underground complex could only wonder was she whom he had come to the rescue of still live? Had she suffocated in that crystal she had been imprisoned in? And what of the animal? Where was it now? Did it still stalk him? Did it now stand guard over her?

As the boy entered the chamber where lie the girl in her crystal prison, he let out a sigh of relief upon seeing that she still breathed. And yet a feeling most ominous came to him.

Slowly, he turned and looked upon the body of water inside the great chamber. He expected the animal, the monster to emerge from it He waited a second, a minute, two, three, four, eventually ten and still it did not emerge from the water.

Once more turning to the girl, the boy had given the beast its opportunity!

Up from the depths it came! A wyvern of elemental construction, greater in size that those of brawn and ichor and with turpitude in its breast! Its orbs were blood its skin obsidian, its tail a thunderbolt!

It lived… And it was one person's to command!

The wyvern turned its head downwards and saw them. He whom it had been ordered to pursue and she whom would be a sacrifice to the abominable and hungry avatar whom the vile shadow that had brought the wyvern to life served.

It would be death for both and only a miracle could save them… And a miracle would save them! Ash and Misty would be saved and the wyvern struck down.
