When Sherlock stepped inside the flat his ears were filled with something hideous. He walked warily to the kitchen. He stopped short in the doorway and took in the scene in front of him. His flatmate, John Watson, was cooking something that seemed to be spaghetti and dancing to the awful blasting that was coming from the radio.
Sherlock scanned John's posture and movements and deduced that he was happy. Happy about what? He felt an irrational pang of jealousy when he realised that it must be because of some woman.
Just as Sherlock was about to escape to his room John turned around. His smile grew even wider if possible and before Sherlock could even blink John had grabbed him and was dancing with him. Well, dancing against him. Sherlock's brain turned into panic mode; he was too close to John, he wouldn't be able to hold back his feelings for long.
When that ridiculous song ended John seemed to realise what he was doing and stopped suddenly but didn't let go. Sherlock started to pull away so that further awkwardness could be avoided but John held him tighter.
"I got a raise", John stated out of nowhere just before he crashed his lips to Sherlock's. Sherlock's brain started to warn him but then John's tongue snaked between his lips and the brain promptly shut itself down.
"John?" Sherlock asked hesitantly when they had to part for air.
"You have no idea how long I've been wanting this", John said and then added: "and I'm not talking about the raise."
Sherlock's brilliant mind refused to be brilliant and understand John's statement and he just blinked. When the realization hit him he pulled John into another kiss.
It turned out that that hideous song called Uptown Funk became Sherlock's all time favorite.
