Charlie was on a diet and dinner didn't look too appetising. Tofu; the packet of the slimy substance stared back at her.

Suddenly she began to chuckle and it grew to a hysterical giggle. Her father wandered into his kitchen cautiously,
"Bells, what's so funny kid?" his voice was saturated with worry and angst as his only child appeared to be having a mental breakdown.

"Nothing Dad, private joke." Bella replied -once she could breathe again. It took a full ten minutes to reassure him that she was OK to cook dinner, he only relented when there was a knock at the door. Charlie grimaced, Bella grinned and took off to the hall, practically running into Edward. Spinning, she began to drag him -as much as she could - towards the kitchen at the fastest human speed she could master.

Like a small child she presented him with the packet to which he stared at with a confused look on his face. With a quick glance at Charlie he cracked a crooked smile. Charlie left them hanging on to the table and crying with laughter.

Her scent was so strong Jacob almost passed out; so she'd been back to the woods. On the news there were stories of murderous wolves and still she's....she's......suicidal! He had to cling to the tree to stay vertical.
" I had no idea I sucked so much, she couldn't just settle for second best....No! Bella's right, I'm just not good enough for her, not yet." By this point Jacob was violently shaking.
And then he took off, leaving Bella's tree alone. Luckily he hadn't seen the other side. Into the bark were the words,

" EDWARD
LOVES
BELLA - Always and Forever"

At the same time Bella was cleaning her room, her least favourite activity but it was better than nothing. Suddenly she noticed something under her bed, it looked like a CD case. Reluctantly she bent down and picked it up, as she carefully turned it over her heart accelerated then stopped. It wasn't Edwards CD, the one he had taken time over, because he loved her, because he had loved her. Not now. Not ever again.

On the other hand, maybe this was best; maybe if he did come back or she found her things, his things, the numbness would engulf her and that would be worse than the pain. It had been six months now and their was no sign of his or their return. A minuet part of her knew that she would have to fight back soon. For Charlie. For Renee. For Jacob.

She crumpled onto her bed, shocked by the energy that had been used, just to get her to this point. As her eyelids fell the same thought whizzed around her mind, "Edward, I still love you, I will always love you"
