The Warrior.
Time. Its a simple yet complicated thing.
But time has never affected him, for he remains untouched by it.
Although he may be old enough to be my grandfather, the long years do not show.
The way he stands strong, his body radiating power, immense amounts of it. Its amazing how he's able to contain it all. The sleek black fur of his body only enhances the look of complete domination, with red streaks adding color to the dark form. And his eyes-
Oh. His Eyes.
Eyes colored crimson that can stare into your soul. They're beautiful in that mysterious way, like shining rubies. The snow white tuft of chest fur contrasts greatly with his body, but it suits him.
He's beautiful, but his soul is guarded. He lets nothing in & nothing out. He's stoic, emotionless, for shutting off his emotions he won't be broken again. He has ghosts...ghosts that haunt him make him suffer & oh how I wish he would let me help him.
He has suffered greatly in the past, I know it. But he tells me little or nothing when we have our little meetings. I wonder if he actually considers me as a friend...
I look up at him, his posture straight, his line of sight ahead as he stares at the sunset, his eyes shining. He does have kindness in him, I can see it, through all the darkness power he has, there is a flicker of light in there.
"Shadow?"
He grunts, his arms folded in that same postion as he stands.
"Tell me about Maria."
He tenses up & glares at the sun now. Did I take it too far? Did I ask too much?!
He turns to look at me, those dark rubies staring into my emerald ones.
"She was an old friend of mine, who was taken." And he goes silent, shutting his eyes & meditating.
Silence.
I knew I had crossed the line. I knew I shouldn't have asked that. I should've kept to myse-
"She was just like you, Rose."
I look back at him to see him staring at me, something in his eyes. It was warmth, sad melachony but warm.
I smile kindly at him, & he nods a bit.
And just like that, we were alright again.
