A special smile, a certain touch

I lay on my bed, hair flowing in all different directions from the sudden drafts of wind coming from the open window. One may say that a 12 year old would never understand the meaning of love, but I do. You showed me how to love. I remember when you told me to call you whenever I was in trouble. You were there.

I miss you. Of course I do. You were my best friend. Everywhere I went, You were close behind me, to make sure nothing happened to me. You were always worrying about me. I could always depend on you; to talk to, to cry on, or even just to hug. If this is love, then someone pinch me. I never thought I could find anyone else to love, but then I found you. You were there.
What would I do if some strange morning

I can't imagine how I would survive it
I finally got the reason to go on.
Remember that day you left for Hong Kong? I did not know what was happening to me. I believed everyone was against me. I would have lost two people that I loved. I cried in confusion. What was I to do? I knew I loved you, but you were to be gone, forever. My mind went crazy. Unanswered questions raced through my head. Did I really love you? Hell, I knew I did. All I ever wanted was to be loved, and I found you. I couldn't think. I needed to see you. I ran. I ran as fast as I could to the airport not knowing what to say or do when I got there. All I knew was, You were there.

I know for sure now, I love you. It hasn't been too long since I last saw you, but you dwell within my head every waking moment I have. I want to be with you. You were everywhere, but now you are gone. I'm not sad. I know you would want me to be strong. You might not be here physically, but You are there with me.
