This was orginally on my tumblr account but I decided to add it here too.

Tsuruga Ren was many things; handsome, soft spoken, gentle and even humble. Women fawned over him and attempted to claim his heart only to fail in the end. It wasn't their fault or even his; unknowingly he had already given his heart away, so long ago, to a little girl he met by a stream in Kyoto.
When she unexpectedly reentered his life after years of pain and anger and despair being his closest companions he was drawn to her. He needed her light and her touch, he needed her soft words of comfort and biting accusations as she scolded him. When it finally dawned on him though, when he finally realized she held his heart, Tsuruga Ren became something else, something more than what he was designed to be.
Tsuruga Ren became petty, jealous, manipulative and downright possessive. He unintentionally put up bigger barriers between females and himself and intentionally struck fear into men smart enough to see his love's brilliance. He gave her more trinkets to hold dear until she realized his heart was hers to do with as she pleased.
Because of her Tsuruga Ren became a better actor. Tsuruga Ren became a better actor because Hizuri Kuon was able to break through.
With no obvious signs of change Tsuruga Ren became a little more Kuon. But this Kuon was tempered by time and by a young girl name Mogami Kyoko who stole his heart a decade ago. With Kuon being soothed by her presence Ren began to be absorbed. It was only a matter of time before he had to tell her. Corn was a roll played by Kuon who was covered up by Ren but truly, all three were desperately in love with her.
Ren looked in the review mirror at Kyoko as he changed lanes, a small smile hinting at his lips. She was reading aloud a recipe she found that was light, as he prefered, and was asking if he wouldn't mind trying it, just so that if she ever had to cook for him again she had some meals up her sleeve. Ren smiled fully, ignoring the looks his manager was tossing his way. "Of course, Mogami-san. I do enjoy your cooking." He saw her blush and continue to flip through the magazine.
He pulled up to her building and stopped the car, quickly stepping out to get her door before she could. She blushed and thanked him quickly before bidding him and Yashiro a good night and high tailed it to the safety of the inside of the restaurant, not giving Ren a chance to walk her to the door.
He sighed and fingered the small box in his pocket; it held her next gift she would hopefully treasure. In the future.
They both needed just a little while longer.
