Bunk Bed Chat by Peacelovex

Amy and Rory stepped into their bedroom aboard the TARDIS and climbed into their separate beds.

After a few minutes of mindless chatter, Amy asked him abruptly, "Rory, are you a virgin?"

Rory blinked in surprise. "Er, sorry?"

"I said, are you a virgin?" Amy repeated.

"Yes, I am." He poked his head out from the bottom bunk, so they were both facing each other. "Why do you ask?"

Amy shrugged. "Just curious, I suppose."

Rory didn't know how to reply to that. "Um, are you a virgin? Just...as a matter of interest, of course."

Amy's pale face flushed pink. "Yes, I am."

Rory chuckled. "The only kissogram in Leadworth is a virgin."

"Hey, I'm a kissogram! Not a bloody prostitute!"

"Okay, okay," Rory said.

"But...I'm not going to be a kissogram anymore, you know," Amy mumbled.

"Seriously?"

"Yeah. I mean, we are getting married, aren't we? I can't exactly go around kissing random blokes as a married woman."

"Ah, yes. 'Course not."

"And anyway, not much people for me to kiss up here in outer space, eh?" Amy joked.

"Well, you've got me," Rory reminded her. "And the Doctor."

Amy scoffed. "Please, I would never kiss the Doctor."

"You did kiss him!" Rory exclaimed. "Remember, the night before our wedding?"

"That's just cause he was there," Amy told him. "It would have been you. I mean, we were both over the moon – we survived a Weeping Angel attack and well, I just...kissed him."

Rory nodded cautiously. "But...it didn't mean anything, right?"

Amy rolled her eyes and smiled at her husband-to-be. "You are so self-conscious sometimes. You know you're the only one for me. I'm not going to go gallivanting off with the Doctor. Besides, he seems to like River a lot more these days."

"Yeah, he does," Rory agreed. "They're always flirting."

"It's good for him, really, isn't it?" Amy said. "To have someone. I mean, we have each other, and who does he have? No one. I always worried when you agreed to come with us that he'd feel like the third wheel."

"It certainly wasn't him feeling like the third wheel," Rory muttered under his breath.

Amy raised her eyebrows. "You mean to tell me...you felt like the third wheel?"

"A bit, yeah," Rory admitted. "I mean, you'd known him since you were seven and he's your best friend and I...I just felt a bit left out, to be honest. Like you said, I'm self-conscious. I didn't know if you liked him or me."

"I...I'm really sorry about that, Rory. But we are best friends, the Doctor and I. Nothing more. I love you, Rory. And you deserve to know that."

Rory felt much better after hearing this. "I'm not confused anymore though, if you like him or me. I know you love me, Amy."

Amy smiled down at him. "That's good. I love you, Rory. 'Night."

"Love you too, Amy. Sweet dreams."
