A/N: I never really cared for writing drabbles of my own before I found out that real life inspires them and you just can't get rid of it being stuck in your head unless you write it down. That happened to me, anyway.
Disclaimer: Of course I don't own anything!!
"Come on, Kathryn, push!" Chakotay tried to encourage his captain.
Kathryn was panting heavily. "Argh, what do you think I am doing, huh?", she managed to utter between two gulps of air.
"Only a little further, now, I can almost see it."
"If that's supposed to make me feel better, I regret to tell you it doesn't work." She looked up at his face and intense blue eyes met sparkling amber. Suddenly both had trouble breathing. "Maybe you should try for a change."
"Ahh...Oh!" Chakotay looked somewhat confused, then started to smile and put his hand on her arm without thinking in what way it might effect her. "No, thank you. I think you do it admirably!" With concern he noticed her red face. "Don't forget to breath, Kathryn!" He tried to hide his amusement from his voice, though without success.
"That's it! I won't do that ever again!"
Chakotay looked over his best friend and decided that he finally had to do something for her health. "You know what, Kathryn? I think you are right. It is no use. I'll take the new one."
"What? Now you've done it, Mister! First you let me do all the work and now you... " If her eyes could shoot fiery darts he should have ducked. He should have ducked anyway, because...
"Ouch! What did you do that for?"
Kathryn just smiled. The empty toothpaste container had at least been useful in the end.
