Axel and Roxas were walking over to a petting zoo. Since Roxas liked chickens, they went to see them first. "Oh, cool! Look at them all!" Roxas said excitedly. Axel just looked at the happy look on his face. "Glad you like them." Axel said cheerfully. They kept walking through the zoo, and then stopped at a gift shop. "I'll be right back, Axel. i just want to see if they have any chicken plushies." Axel nodded. Since it was almost Roxas' birthday, he still had to decide on what to get him. So Axel snuck into the store and thried to stay out of Roxas' sight. 'Gift... Gift... What should i get him?' Axedl thought. He looked at some small chicken figureines, and thought they were perfect. The figureine had a small yellow chicken, and a larger white chicken, hugging, or what it looked like to Axel.
He quickly bought the figureines, and ran out. he got them wrapped up, and he stuffed them into his pocket. Roxas came out, with a large bag. He pulled out a small chicken plushie, and a shirt that said 'I'm no chicken!' with a brave looking chicken, puffing out it's chest. "So, are we ready to go, Roxas?" Axel; asked. Roxas nodded. They both left the zoo, and headed for home. As Roxas and Axel parted ways, Roxas was thinking about his birhtday the next day. 'i can't wait to see what people got me for my birthday!' A smile devoloped on his face. When Axel returned to his house, he quickly grabbed the figureines and wwrapped them in a nicer paper than the one he got with the glass chickens when he bought them. He grabbed a card, and, as usual, he signed it with his name.
The next day, Axel walked up to Roxas' house, and noticed all the ballons around his house. He went up and knocked on the door. Roxas opened it. "Axel! I am so happy you could make it!" He gave him a hug, and took the gift. "Ooh! I wonder what it is!" He said, cheerfully. Axel walked into the living room, and noticed that most of the guest had already arrived. There was Xion, Demyx, Marluxia, Sora and Namine. The day went on, and then it went on to gifts. Roxas' eyes went huge when he saw all the gifts that his friends had brought. He had gotten a shirt from Xion, a mini sitar from Demyx ("I'll even teach you how to play it! Dedmyx implied. Roxas sighed.) Some nice scented stuff from Marluxia, some Keybladwe shiner from Sora, and a picture of Roxas and Namine together in Twilight Town from Namine. Then it was on to Axels gift. Roxas quickly ripped open the wrapping paper. He gasped in shock. He had seen it in the gift shop when he went with Axel yesterday, but he didnt have enough money to get it. Axel... This is beautiful." The blonde boy got up and kissed Axel on the forehead. Everyone gasped in shock. 'he likes chickens?' They all thought. Axel smiled. "I knew you would like it. Happy birthday, Roxas." he gave him a small peck on the cheek, and Roxas blushed. The party went with cake, and everyone left. But as Axel was about to leave, Roxas grabbed his wrist. "Axel... Thank you... For getting me exactly what I wanted." Axel smiled at him. "Anytime, Roxas." He gave him a quick peck on the lips and was on his way. Roxas looked to him in shock. But it was a good shock.
That was the best pressent Roxas had ever recived from anyone.
