Author's Note: Over the years, I've noticed a few general plots that happen over an over in Kaiba fiction where Kaiba is often OOC. This can be seen as a little guide to how Kaiba might actually behave in these sorts of situations.
They're all one shots, and none of them are directed at anyone specific. I'm not trying to offend anyone nor do I think that 'my' version of his actions is the only one. He's a dynamic character and I'm just writing these as a kind of general practice at getting into his head. These are just for fun and shouldn't be taken too seriously.

First up is the cliche 'new girl at Domino'. What, you thought that if you were pretty or special enough Kaiba might notice you? That's so cute. ;D
There was a new student at Domino High this morning and she was a person of interest to the entire student body. The school was small enough that people quickly became acquainted with the people in all their classes. Everyone knew that Seto Kaiba was an asshole who should be avoided, Yugi was a humble and helpful guy despite being the current King of Games, Anzu was probably on some sort of happy pills, Sanura would claw out the eyes of any girl who even talked to Kaiba, and the student body president was a control freak who everyone regretted voting for.
These were all the facts of life at Domino High and learning about someone new was like a treat for the first few days.
So for today the new girl was interesting.
This rule did not apply to Seto Kaiba. In fact, he wasn't too interested in the students at Domino at all. His general rules of high school life were very different from the average student's. He knew that the Government teacher was idiotic and that it was a waste of time to attend that class, the Physics teacher was competent and though Kaiba already knew the subject the lectures were occasionally worthwhile, and that his English teacher's first language was actually English. His English teacher was the least intimidated by him while his Calculus teacher was pathetic and practically worshiped the ground he walked on.
Students were only relevant when they got in his way. Most teachers, save the English teacher, would allow him to sit alone in the back corner of their rooms. All of them allowed him to work on his laptop during their classes, and only the English teacher would force him to participate from time to time.
He attended school because he understood the importance of having a degree. If Kaiba Corp. were to ever completely crumble (and he would do everything in his power to stop that from happening, but he knew that there was always that slim minuscule chance) then he would have a backup plan.
Seto Kaiba was always prepared for any situation. He prided himself on being able to think of and prepare for any possible outcome.
That didn't mean that he always felt the need to attend school, and he usually didn't feel the need to pay attention in his classes. He paid very little attention to his teachers and none at all to his 'peers'.
So when he vaguely heard one of teachers announce that there was a new student, he didn't bother sparing her a second glance. She could be Aphrodite incarnate, but all he cared about was whether or not she would invade his bubble. A quick scan of the classroom confirmed that the desks right next to him were not the only extra desks. There was an extra desk in the middle of the room. So he sent a quick glare to the teacher, letting the teacher know that the student should not be sitting in any of his adjacent desks, before continuing with his Kaiba Corp. reports.
He had a great deal of work to do before he made it into his office today. School really cut into his productivity and he would be satisfied when he no longer had to attend.
