Here's a little something new. This fic is set in 1993. I might leave this as a oneshot, but if you all review, I will continue! Thanks everyone!

As Will Schuester walked up to the doors of McKinley, he went through a mental checklist to make sure everything was perfect before his first appearance of his junior year.
"Hair? Check," he thought, as he ran a hand through his thick, fluffy, sandy brown curls.
"Outfit? Check," he continued, looking down at his baggy, ripped, light-wash jeans, into which his oversized plaid shirt was half-tucked into, and making sure that the toes of his worn black Converse sneakers peeked out from under the hem of his jeans.
"Book bag? Umm.." Will paused momentarily, recalling running down the stairs that morning and leaving his red-and-blue backpack sitting on the living room floor.
"Oh well," he thought idly.

Fifteen-year-old Will Schuester was on top of the world, as far as the other new sophomore students at McKinley were concerned. He had the looks, the voice, and the girl. Right on cue, Terri Delmonaco came dashing out the doors of the school and ran into his arms.
"Hey, Will!" Terri exclaimed excitedly, pecking him quickly on the lips. "You're nearly late! I was just talking to Amy, and she says that Sarah and David are dating. Can you believe it? SARAH and DAVID!" As usual, Terri was yapping away at a thousand miles a minute. Will took Terri's clammy hand in his, and together the pair walked into the doors of McKinley.

In the hallways of the school, the typical first-day rush was taking place. Scatterbrained groups of girls shrieking and hugging, and throngs of boys leaning against lockers, trying to look cool in clothes they'd never admit were new. Will smiled and greeted all of his friends, draping an arm over Terri's narrow shoulders. Together, they were the power-couple of McKinley. He knew that they'd be voted "Cutest Couple" in that year's Thunderclap, and that they'd become Prom King and Queen of the Sophomore prom, but that wasn't important right now. Right now, Will was concentrated on appearing calm, cool and collected in front of his peers.

"What'd you do this summer, Will?" a skinny, acne-covered boy asked Will eagerly. But before Will could open his mouth to answer, he was slammed into a locker. He hit the ground with a loud slamming noise, followed by some muttered cursing. He looked up just in time to see Bryan Ryan, a junior and his Glee club rival, turn around and yell,
"You're STILL not cool, Schuester, so stop trying!"
