Summary: Practically, Renji promised something to Rukia after and incident involving blood and Hollows

"Rukia!" Both Ichigo and Renji shouted when they saw Rukia's body fell to the ground. Her petite body trembling. The wounds stretched from her shoulder to her stomach. "I-it's nothing. Just finish it off, quickly!"
We couldn't do anything than what she said so we rushly slashes that lousy, good for nothin' hollow then I jumped to her. The fresh wounds still bleeding.
Spilled everywhere before we bandaged it. I kept myself from yelling or cursing until I carried her back to Urahara's. Then I shut myself in my room. Once again, I've failed to protect her. Relieve filled my heart when I heard Urahara stated she will be alright soon. The guilt linger within my heart is getting bigger and bigger. This is not the first time. In fact, every time he ended up letting her got those wounds. I glanced to the clock beside my futon, which told me it's already two in the morning. Sigh. Who could expect me to sleep in this condition, anyway?
Suddenly, the door slid open. "How long you'll be rottin' in here?" I didn't need to turn back to know who it is. I knew that voice far too well." You're recovered already? Shouldn't you get some rest?" she swung her arms for a few times then smiling." I'm tough." Another sigh escaped my mouth." Sorry, for letting you wounded again." Her eyebrows meet each other and she whacked me out of blue." Ouch. What's that for?!"
She stood beside me, playfully grinned." Who said it's your fault? It's totally mine for not see that attack coming." Silence filled the room once again. Then I am reminded of my important to-do. I walked to a small wooden cabinet at the corner of the tiny room." close your eyes." I asked groggily.
Me? Groggy?
My, I never good at thing like this. It's just, simply embarrassing." Huh?" she blinked. "Just close your eyes." I restrained myself from yelling. She nodded. A faint twinkling sound startled her. I clapped my hands." Okay. You can open your eyes now." She must be very confused, judged by her face. Then her hand finally found it at her bare neck a second ago. Now, a cute tiny rabbit holding a silver bell embraced in a necklace encircled It." Where did you found this?" Her voice seems intrigued." I when that day, I-I just strolled down the street and I passed a shop, well, I thought it might look good on you." I tried to hide my damn red face, which is fortunately not so hard thing to do. It's night, okay, early morning anyway.
"I like it." She answered. I looked to another direction, avoiding her eyes. She played with her brand new necklace." But what's this for? So suddenly?" I made sure my voice is confidence enough." It's another promise. And this time, I'll make sure I fulfill it." My eyes met her. My resolution is final. "Huh? What promise?" She looked with confusion.
"I'll never let you suffer again. I'll protect you with all my might."
