ugh I'm garbage I'm sorry
I was just playing Fates and this happened and yes I am ashamed-
Volga, Link, and Fire Emblem: Fates belong to Nintendo o u o
Throughout the charred remains of a village, besides the crackling of fire, all that was heard was Volga's distressed roaring — part hurt, part anger, part hatred. Each time his wings would beat, or a claw truculently dug at the earth, a cloud of dust conjured up from nothing. The dragon only ceased when a serene, gentle voice sang out to him.
"You are the ocean's great waves.."
A low growl thundered deep within Volga's throat. His claws created more patterns in the stone and dirt as he stepped backwards; viridescent eyes focused on the blond boy, blue eyes full of tenderness. Link's svelte frame tranquilly stepped towards him, hands partially out to the side as he resang the line, this time, vocalising it.
"Link! Don't get any closer!" Impa called, rushing towards the boy. A spiral of light sent her backwards, where she landed on a singular knee. Her crimson eyes and Link's cerulean ones locked momentarily as he glanced over a sylphlike shoulder — most likely to see if she would remain — before he turned; advancing towards Volga once more.
His sylphlike arms were now reaching up towards the beast, in a feeble attempt to relax him, and put him at ease. A group of triangles on a chain glowed brightly, floating just above the royal blue scarf he was wearing.
"You are the ocean's great waves, destined to see life beyond the shore, just out of reach."
Link's expression visibly leniented and softened as Volga halted in his retreat; head bobbing up and down slightly. He finally comprehended what Link was trying to do, and he wouldn't have any of it.
"Yet the waters ever change—"
With a truculent roar, the dragon swiped a claw across the boy's thin, pointed face. A startled wail came from Link — who instantaneously crumpled to the ground — a gasp came from Impa, and a shriek filled with alarm came from Agitha, who was feet behind the general. Throwing his head back towards the grey sky — darkening with the promise of rain — another roar was ripped from Volga's throat. He discontinued when a golden light came from Link — a wall of light encasing the two. No one would interfere, no one would leave.
"Flowing like time, that filters through the tide.." Link sang wearily; lifting his head slightly off of the ground. A bruise had already began to develop, where the dragon had struck him.
A strangled cry escaped the blond as a claw enclosed around his throat, cerulean eyes forced to stare into viridescent ones. Volga leaned down, growling dimly.
"Kill me if you want," Link whispered, his voice cracking as he positioned a svelte hand on the claw around his neck. Two tears dripped from his eyes — making his lashes seem diamond-flecked — before they rolled down the sides of his head. "But please.."
"… do it as yourself."
sorry-
