Prologue
Annabeth believes anything in books are true. She believes in the theory of global warming and the effects and causes of it. She believes the theory of how earth was created, the big bang theory. She believes in a lot of things. But some things she never believed until it actually happen to her.
She could never - in her existences and beyond - believe that the big, bad, scary player would eventually fall for her so easily. She could never believe that someone like him and someone like her could fit so naturally like two puzzle pieces.
Sometimes, even if it already happen, she couldn't believe the strong pair of arms that wrap around her waist and the amazing scent of cookies and sea-salt surrounding her were for her. She never think it would be so nice, comfortable, and warm to have someone's lips on hers.
Annabeth Chase, before she started to believe, use to live by one cycle. The cycle that she thought would always be true and never change. The cycle that proves that neither boys or girls are the bad person or the good person.
The cycle: Asshole... fucks over... nice girl... turns into... bitch... fucks over... nice guy... turns into... asshole...
That was her only understanding of "sex" and "relationships," which she did not want to experience. No-one could be a good all the time, it was only a matter of seconds, minutes to sin but years, centuries to be a perfect, little saint.
Regrets are easy to make. Some regrets are good, some are bad. Everyone in the world believe regrets are bad things but honestly, time over time the regrets could be the reason you're in a high-priced hotel with a loving family or volunteering to build schools in Africa for young children.
Regrets can make you stronger or weaker, it all depends on how you react afterwards. It depends if you would or wouldn't do it again.
To her, Annabeth, she would do it all again just to have the dust, the pain, the tragic, turn into the gold, the most heavenly pleasure, and advantageous fortunate. The wonderful, enchanting memories of how thousands of stars were above them when they kissed, or how the white doves flew around them when they walk down the aisle.
The way he lifts her feet off the ground, carrying her bridal style onto their honeymoon bed in the Bahamas. The way he pull her into the beach's cold, shivering waters and made her swim with him when the dolphins came out.
It was the end of a never ending cycle to the start of another more happy, exciting, breath-taking cycle.
Its like the yin and yang symbol. The bad was the color black and the good was the color white. (a/n: no racism just describe the yin and yang symbol) When the good had a small bad part in the middle and vice verse for the bad. Together they become a balance, a life.
It was like how the bad guys in movies have a tragic background story and change through out the movie, like 'How the Grinch stole Christmas'. How in that movie he was in love with a girl he thought he could never have, bullied by others who though he was too different from them, but in the end a little kid change his world, heart, and mind to return all the presents in time and the girl who Grinch still loves confirms her undying love for him.
Annabeth believes the good guy is just more good than the bad guy which is why he's called the good guy. Nowadays, she believes regrets and sins are just the beginning of satisfaction and saints.
