I got a little bored during work so I started writing and this came out. Draco was bored too.

And I haven't quit Ghost of a Chance, either. I've been writing it faithfully and have finished the last chapter. That's right, the last chapter. I know, I need to get my priorities straight.

Draco is italics and Harry is bold, because that's kinda what I think they would write like anyway. And Idon't remember if it mentions favorite colors in the book so I'm making them up. And this is set before HBP because Dumbledore is alive and Draco's not all nerves. And the notes are seperated by the spaces.

Disclaimer: If you recognize it, I don't own it. If you don't recognize it, I do, or I don't and you just don't recognize it.

What's your favorite color?
Why?
Because colors say a lot about a person. Mine's white.
I don't care what yours is, and stop owling me.

Stop it, stop watching me, it's creepy.
Your favorite color isn't green, and it's not red.
It's gold. Now leave me alone.
No, it's not, that was just the first thing to pop into your head. You don't know what it is. Don't worry, I'll tell you.
Goodie.

I like blue.
No you don't, now shut up and leave this to a master.
Malfoy, you're being ridiculous.
Blue is blah, Potter. You don't like it.
Fine, I don't like it.

Finnigan's is brown, Weasel's is blue, Granger likes magenta, and Dumbledore's is rainbow with multicolored stars and pink polkadots because he's weird and entirely too cheerful.
I thought you were doing me?
I got distracted, and you should know better than to send me such ammo.
Like what?
'Doing you', Potter?
Oh, shut your gob.

Padma Patil likes yellow, as does Longbottom, but not you. You don't care much for brown, rose, purple, black, or white either.
I thought you wanted to find out what I do like?
Process of elimination, Potter dear.
Dear?
You bekoned?
Go back to your damn potion, Malfoy.

I hate turquoise, I really do.
What did it ever do to you?
One of my mother's dresses is turquoise. I called it green as a child and a house elf called me colorblind.
Dobby?
Before that one. I'm glad you hate it too.
If you say so.

You're too modest to like gold, and too honest to care for silver. Too brazen for brass and too brassy for bronze.
Copper?
Not even taking it into concideration.
Moving into the metalics? Is it that hard?
I have an idea but I want to cover all my bases.
Is brassy even a word?
Possibly.

Grey.
Pardon?
You like grey. You love it, it's your favorite color.
No it's not. It's bland.
It's grey.
Shut up and keep looking.

Grey is a balance between light and dark, between black and white, where the two opposite combine not to form a color seperate from it's counterparts, but simply a mixture of the two that has both its predesessor's strengths and flaws. It's is the ultimate neutral and can be worth as much as gold if it's cleaned up just right.
Malfoy?
Yes Potter?
I like grey.
So do I.

Pointless, but it rather makes me smile. Tell me if it makes you smile too, and review. It'll also probably make me update Ghost of a Chance sooner.
