I would like to thank maymay1588 for her picture and wonderful mod that i used for my inspiration for this story's Lilium. Anyway this is just a side project second to my legacy series but anyway this is a challenge from Dragonveiw. Basically the challenge is you take a character from the elder scroll and match it with an oc. I've obviously taken Vicente and my sorta oc Lilium. This story takes place as if Vicente survived the purification so now the character knows him in Skyrim.
The blonde women moved swiftly through the streets of Riften. Blood dripped from one of her hands but she paid it little mind. She briefly recalled the feeling of rage that shot through her at the injustice of the old hag that had run the orphanage in town. No small child, whose world had already tumbled down should have to put up with such a beast. If the women had been paying more attention to her surroundings she might have notice the lithe assassin hiding in the shadows. Or at least felt the tall tale shiver that raced down her spine at the stare of a stranger with ill intent.
If she had been smart she would have left town instead of sleeping in the inn that was such a short distance from the sight of a brotherhood mark. One she was quite aware of taking. But she was aware enough to know her drink had been drugged, and she was smart enough to know that this was a chance she was not going to miss…
oOo
"Well well well, you're finally awake." Said a woman, a dark hood drawn over her face. The blonde women tilted her head to see that her captor was perched atop a bookcase, her leg dangling over. The position was relaxed but it would also be easy enough for the captor to leap with cat like grace and sink her dagger into the blonde's pale neck. She made quick note of the dark armor and the blood red hand print. A thin smile graced the women's lips as she recognized the tone of an assassin, but not just any assassin, this one was a leader, perfect.
The blue eyed women decided to play innocent "Who are you? Where are we? What do you want?" not that she couldn't guess any of the answers already.
"Hmm I am a friend, we are in a safe place and as for that would you care to turn and see our guests?" said Astrid and the blonde almost grinned at this assassin's ignorance. She wasn't new to the game played between a potential recruit and the recruiter, nor to the cryptic tactics. This also certainly wasn't her first experience with the brotherhood.
"Well I think you're the leader of the brotherhood by your superior tone and of course the armor," the women sniffed the air, smelling mold, she heard the lapping of water and glanced around to see the stains on the shack walls,"We're in the abandoned shack south west of Morthal, and you want to initiate me because I killed the kind old women in Riften. How close am I? Astrid?" she said a slight smirk slipping lose, after all, it's important to keep the upper hand in this sort of situation. she thought darkly.
"How…are you…how?" stuttered Astrid and the blonde, Lilium, was secretly quite pleased to have caught Astrid off guard. Ah the joys of knowing Sithis and the Night Mother. However, Lilium thought, if the leader of the brotherhood was so easily fooled what did that say for the brotherhood itself. Lilium might have once downright refused to be the listener, but that certainly didn't mean she wished to watched the brotherhood fall.
"Let's just say that I'm a very very old acquaintance of the brotherhood." Lilium muttered
"I don't know you. I don't believe you. Let's face the facts, you're not leaving until someone in this room dies." Said Astrid trying to maintain her command.
"I'm quaking in fear… let's see, I could kill you take the key and leave or you kill me or I kill the sniveling Khajiit that I know to be a rapist." Her eyes widened just a little and her hand went for her blade of woe. "Though considering the arrangement I have with the brotherhood I think I'm going to chose the Khajiit, relax. Hands of woe." The blonde said enjoying the way she was toying with her.
She carried an Elven bow and arrows and her enchanted bronze cutlass and a small throwing dagger she had picked up in Morrowind. In one fluid movement she twisted and the dagger left her fingers finding its mark, the middle of the Khajiit's skull. "We done here?" she asked smoothly.
"Of course, I have a feeling you know where the sanctuary is and how to get in." Astrid said sourly. Lilium flashed her a smirk that made Astrid's eyes narrow and the blonde walked to the door without the key, a simple lock pick in her hand. Astrid glanced at her with an amused air as if she couldn't decide if Lilium was serious or not. In a quick motion the elf opened the door much to the assassins amassment and stepped out into the swamp. "Back home I go." she whispered, to lowly for Astrid to hear. It felt good to be alive...
