Summary: Harriet prepares for the naming of the twins.
A/N: This is prompted by the names CB and Phoebe give Harriet and Bud's twins in the fic Whispers of Love. It's also prompted by Soleil's comment in her feedback on the JAGnik board. This is one of those stories that's written in very little time b/c my muse decided to take out a bat and hit me with it until I finished the story!
CB, Phoebe and Soleil don't be offended by this. PLEASE!
JAG Headquarters
Friday Morning
"Ma'am?"
Colonel Sarah Mackenzie looked up from the pile of paperwork on her desk to see a very pregnant Harriet Sims-Roberts standing in her doorway.
"Harriet! What a surprise! Where are the boys?" Mac asked while motioning for Harriet to come in and have a seat but Harriet shook her head no to the offer.
"They're staying with my parents for the week. With Bud and the Commander out of town I was hoping you'd agree to come over tonight. I need some help with something." Harriet told her.
"Sure. Anything I need to bring?"
"No, ma'am. Just yourself. You might want to bring a seabag now that I think about it. It's probably going to be a late night." Harriet explained.
"Okay, I meet you at your place about 1730."
"That'll be great! Thanks! I'll let you get back to work now." Harriet turned and left.
Roberts' House
1730 Hours
"Hello Ma'am, uh, I mean Mac." Harriet corrected herself with just a look from Mac.
"Hi, Harriet so what do you need help with?"
"Well, before that, are you hungry?"
"Yes."
"Good! The pizza just got here. Let's dish some up and go into the family room."
It only took a few minutes for Harriet and Mac to dish up the pizza and grab something to drink. Mac stopped in shock when she walked into the family room. There were about 20 DVD's sitting next to the TV.
"Harriet, you invited me over here to watch movies?" Mac was incredulous.
"Not really, Mac. I don't intend to watch any of them."
"Then what are we going to do?" Mac was more confused than she'd ever been in her entire life.
"Bud and I are discussing names for the twins. The DVD's are all sci-fi movies. I just want to see the credits and find out the names of the main characters so that I don't end up with more kids named after fictional characters from those movies!" Harriet said rather indignantly.
After Mac finished laughing, she agreed to help Harriet write down all the names the Roberts wouldn't be using for the babies.
