Bugs
I turn the page, and scribble more lyrics to the song I'm currently working on. I hear footsteps come from behind me.
"Uh...Mitchie?" I look at Shane, arching my eyebrows.
"Yeah?" I ask, pushing my hair behind my shoulder. I set the lyrics book down.
Shane gets closer to me and his hand lightly taps my hand.
"There's...a spider." He tells me.
I let out a high pitched scream and Shane jumps back in fear.
"GET IT OFF! EEEEEEE! GET IT OFF!" I shriek running in a circle.
Shane grabs my hand, forcing me to stop.
"Quit moving!" He exclaims, squeezing my hand.
He brushes the spider off and I stop hyperventilating.
"Is it gone?" I ask softly. Shane nods, smirking.
Suddenly, I realize how ridiculous I must have looked running around screaming.
"That was embarassing." I tell him. Shane chuckles.
"You look good when you scream, so I don't mind." He replies.
I giggle and notice a small bug on Shane's shoulder. I reach out to brush it off and he grabs my hand before I can.
He leans down to kiss me, his lips lightly touching mine. He pulls away, smiling. I smile back. My eyes dart from his eyes to his shoulder. I notice the hideous bug staring at me.
"Shane..." I trail off.
"Yes, Mitchie?"
"There's a bug on your shoulder."
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
