Challenge: Kissing in the Rain

Challenger: Smile Life Away

As Perfect As a Kiss in the Rain

A/N I'm well aware of the fact that Viktor doesn't speak bloody english but I really don't know how to make him speak with a Bulgarian accent so cope with me.

Hermione sat by the window in the common room, listening to the rain as it splattered against the window, She had been trying to read a muggle book she had found laying around in her trunk, but found out she couldn't concentrate on it.

She had left Harry and Ron -to whom she hadn't spoken to in days- in the library. She was tired of Harry asking her the same thing over and over again 'What do you think I'm supposed to do with this egg?' Hell she didn't know and her brain wouldn't come up with an answer in a 5 minute interval! But, then again, she didn't blame Harry for being annoying; she supposed that being the Boy Who Lived and the youngest wizard in the tournament could certainly cause a lot of uncalled for stress.

Closing the book, she turned her attention to the grounds; they were deserted except for a figured that sat crossed legged amidst the rain. Upon further gazing she realized that the person was Viktor. Without stopping to think, she flung herself from the chair and run out towards the pouring rain.

When she finally reached Viktor, Her hair was soaked and her robes were mud splattered and drenched, but she didn't care.

"Hey" she said, placing her had on his shoulder.

"Hello 'Mione" he responded, rising from the ground turning to face her.

"What are you doing here?" she asked curiously.

"Trying to figure out what the bloody hell am I supposed to do with certain golden egg." he answered in a voice that told her he did nowhere near knowing what to do with the egg.

"In the pouring rain?" she teased.

"Uh-huh, I have always found the rain soothing, it helps me concentrate. I guess you must think it's funny."

"No, Not at all, well maybe a bit, but the sound of rain does helps me concentrate on reading, though not the actual rain anyway."

"No, I guess not the actual wet rain, but being here, outside, just…helps me."

"Yes, I suppose it must be so, but, don't worry we've still a lot of time to figure that out and if you stay out here you might get sick" She said gently while taking his hand, she studied him, took in the wet black hair framing his face, the raindrops sliding down his slightly crooked nose, and then she found them, his warm hazel eyes staring back at her, she took a step forward pressing her body against his. He place his free hand around his waist, pulling her toward him, he leaned down and kissed her. The rain continued dancing around them.

They both knew their relationship wouldn't last, at the end of the year they would part ways, but for now it didn't matter, for now it was perfect, as perfect as a kiss in the rain.
