This short drabble was inspired by DeviantArt user ~kono-tyann's fanart of Astoria and Draco titled "Pure blood slytherin dream". The drawing is absolutely breathtaking...their emotions just jumped off the page and into my pen--I had to write about it!

An Astoria/Draco Drabble
Apprehension…it pounded through Astoria's veins, her heart swelling so large it was sure to explode. His robes were so close that she could faintly smell the hovering scent of rich cologne, the soft velvet of his cloak caressing her bare arms as he pulled her closer.
Breath…it escaped through his parted lips as he exhaled, the warmth a wildfire spreading across her cheeks. Two streams of heat emitted from his nostrils, warming the tip of her sloping nose. The fringe of her hair touched fleetingly against his peaked face; he had edged her forward once again.
Touch…his hand rubbed against hers down next to their side, rougher hands massaging smooth skin as he slid his fingers into hers; a perfect fit. Chills electrocuted up her spine as his thumb circulated gently at her wrist. For a split-second his tongue slid over his dry lips, leaving the thin crescents moist in the low lighting. They crept steadily nearer.
Blush…color blossomed at her cheekbones; their breath had swirled into a warm cloud between them, the tension hammering out in her heart. She was so nervous…never before…this would be her first…
Inhale…she heard him take a breath, the warm cloud dissipating from before her face. He leaned in. A lightning bolt struck her heart…she glanced up at him nervously, the amps pumped into her bloodstream now rolling out through her nerves. She, too, licked her lips. It could be only millimeters now.
Eyelids…they fluttered to a close as she reached him, lashes whispering against his cheeks. The tip of his nose slid in place next to hers…she parted her lips and breathed in once last time.
Kiss…it was her first, and Astoria shared it with Draco.
