The Mocking Bird
Disclaimer: I do not own in any way shape or form any of the characters that appear in this story; they are all the property of their respective owners. Furthermore, the plot isn't mine either, it has been done to death in similar ways. This is simply a mockery of some of the other Fan fictions out there. It is not directed at anyone in particular, and is intended to make fun of some of the over done, yet often wonderful, stories out there.
I would like to dedicate this to Sean, may you finally get all those magic cards, and Cat, of course; and the Construct.
It was a dark and stormy night, the darkness stormed about, a deep, writhing, storming darkness. The walls of buildings were occasionally lit up by the angry lightning, which stormed about in its rage! Then, suddenly, from the dark and deep shadows of these eerily lit buildings emerged people, extraordinary people who had each had adventures, stunning adventures, through dark and stormy places, eerily lit by lightning!
They were, in the order the emerged from the shadows, Kagome and Inu Yasha, Parn, Slayne, Ashram, Pirotess, and Deedlit. Miroku and Sango, Ranma and Akane, and, for good measure, Pikachu.
These eerily lit people look about with angry looks like raging storms and lightning glares.
Then, suddenly, all the male characters drop dead, with the soul exception of Slayne.
Ashram cries out, "Why must I leave Pirotess?"
Inu Yasha cries out, "What the HELL?"
The female characters then gather together, confused, and the storm vanishes, so that it is now sunny and warm out, each of them sees the body of there loved ones on the ground!
Kagome cries out "Why Inu Yasha, why? I never even got to yell sit at you again!"
With the word sit Inu Yasha's body gets bumped up and down by the collar!
And Kagome cries out in anguish, "Why did I never yell sit again? SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT"
The boddy of Inu Yasha flops about with these words, and, at last, Kagome collapses in a pile of tears, and clothes, and flesh.
Pirotess yells at Kagome, "Silence girls, he was mortal and bound to die sooner or later." She stares longingly at Ashram's body, then drags it off to a quiet corner and begins to strip it off its armor..
Deedlit looks despairingly at Parn, and then begins to cry, she then goes over to Pirotess who is Ashram, and begins to have a deep philosophical discussion on the nature of mortality.
Sango stares at Miroku, and then says, "Thank god that lech is dead!"
But then she feels something on her knee, and staring down sees that Miroku must have grabbed her before he died. So, she takes out her sword and hacks the arm of her knee, with a satisfied grin.
Akane watches Ranma's body, but she can't help but think Shampoo had something to do with this. Yet, even so, she too falls into the stereotypical mound of tears.
Slayne and Pikachu are the only males still standing. Slayne looks to Pikachu and says, "Now, what just happened."
But Pikachu is staring at the ground. It has had an idea, and, charging up its thunderbolt to full power, it releases a mighty shock and restarts the heart of every dead character.
Many of them look about in surprise, and rejoin with each other. Strangely, Pirotess and Ashram have disappeared.
So comes about a happy ending, with everyone's feelings revealed, and all thanks to.PIKACHU
