She is his kitten

She was feisty in a way that would make any real demon laugh in her face, but for everyone else, it was just cute, especially for him. She loved to play and took pleasure in the simplest things in life, things that he would not have even glanced at before he met her.

Sometimes she would stalk Jaken, silently waiting to the best moment to pounce. He never understood how Jaken always fell for it; he could hear her a mile away. Other times she would bounce up and down, trying to reach a flower far above her head until he came and picked for her. She would then take it in her tiny hands and treat it as if it was her favorite toy and then she would grin up at him, her teeth half bared. He would smile and stroke his kitten on her soft head.

He is her mountain

He had been her stable, unmovable shelter ever since that day he had first brought her back from the dead. He stood tall, towering above her and when she rode on his back she could feel the power and force beneath her.

At times, it seemed to her that nobody could fall her mountain. He would walk right into extremely dangerous situations and come out of them with hardly a single scratch. He ruled over his people with justice, but also with fairness. She didn't know what he had been before she had met him, but she knew one thing for sure, he was the strongest and highest mountain in the world and he was her sheltering home.

She is his light

He hadn't realized just how dark his life had been before she came into it. Her smile and laughter brightened his everyday and the only clouds he knew these days were the ones on the days she cried. She seemed to shine brighter everyday, which made him happier everyday as well.

It always amazed him that she seemed to smile the most when rain poured down on them. She would climb off of his back and dance around under the torrent of water, laughing and smiling. She was a light without a fleck of darkness and he made sure that she would never go out.

He is her dog

She had often thought that it was odd that he was a dog demon. Dogs had always seemed like strange and sloppy creatures to her and besides, they were related to wolves, who she hated. He had always seemed more like a dragon than a dog to her.

However, when she lies in her fur and on those rare occasions that he can touch his hair, she finds that she's grateful he is the Dog Lord. After all, dragons don't have the soft fur that dogs do. He was her dog, and she wouldn't change a thing about him.

She is his heart

He had thought that his life had been full and good before she came into his life, but months later he had to admit that he had been wrong. He had been missing something that he never knew he even had, something he didn't think that any demon had. His heart.

Having a heart was a strange notion for him. Of course, he didn't have the organ called a heart and he had thought that was the only meaning of having a heart. She had taught him that a heart was so much more than a body part, it something that he loved and gave him joy. When she told him that, he knew there was only one thing on the world that could be his heart: her.

He is her savior

She knew that her life belonged to him. Not only had he saved her from the wolves but countless other times. At first she had wondered why he bothered, but as they grew closer, she stopped wondering. After all, she was the only one in the world who could make him smile.

She had been in danger many times in her life but somehow he was always there to save her. Without him she would have no life, and she was the only one he would cry for if he ever lost her.
