Link's Family Reunion
Prologue: The Letter
Link was sitting in Hyrule Field, soaking up the sun. He was having a nice day. But nothing could have prepared him for what was about to happen next.
A messenger started running Link's way.
"Hey, you!" The messenger shouted. "I got a letter for ya'll!"
Link hastily took the letter. He read it out loud.
Dear Link,
This is your mother, Lily Danielson.
I would like to invite you to a family reunion, at the Bottom of the Well. If you would like to come, give this messenger your response letter. He is dim-witted and will follow orders and not open the letter. I can't wait to see you honey!
Signed, Lily Danielson.
P.S. Your entire family will be there! They're all so happy to see you again, because they haven't seen you since you were a baby. Toodles!
"Oh crap!" Link exclaimed.
"Is something wrong?" The messenger asked.
"Yeah, something's wrong!" Link shouted.
"What, may I ask, is the problem?"
"My dummy mother who left me to die in some din-forsaken place called 'Kokiri Forest', with that stupid Uncle Deku Tree, now wants me back because I'm famous!"
"Ouch." Said the messenger
"Tell me about it!" Link exclaimed. Then he sighed. "But I guess I'm obligated to go and play the 'Good Son'."
"Bottom of the Well? I don't think they're the proper type!"
"Hey!" Link yelled. "They said you wouldn't open the note and read it!"
"You read the note aloud."
"Oh yeah."
The messenger started to cry.
"What's wrong?" Link asked the messenger.
"Even the part about the dim-wi, dim-wi- well, dim something!"
With that, Link finished his letter and read it aloud. He hadn't been listening to the messenger. "Finished!" He exclaimed.
Dear Family,
I'd be glad to go to your reunion. I just have one question for Lily Danielson. This is it. Is my last name really Danielson?
