It was a typical day at camp; the Stoll's were pranking, Clarisse was threatening, and Percy and Annabeth were competing with each other. But what was the competition this time? You guessed it, a staring contest.
In the Poseidon cabin:
"You're going to blink Annabeth", Percy smirked.
"I am not" Annabeth growled.
There was a span of silence as each competitor attempted not to blink, then Percy spoke quietly,
"Annabeth?"
"What", she ground out.
"I love you."
Blink
"WHAT", Annabeth shrieked, "did you say that just to make me lose?"
"No", Percy defended, "I meant it, and you don't have to say it back if you don't want to."
"Okay", Annabeth breathed in relief, "round two?"
"Sure."
The game began anew and after about ten minutes Annabeth spoke up,
"I love you too."
Blink
AN: First I should say that because I am not male and I am younger than thirty, I am not Rick Rirodan. Second, I hope you enjoyed the story and if you want to you can review, if you don't then it's no skin off of my nose. However, if you do review I will do my best to reply.
