"I still don't know why you're making me do this," Kurt said to Blaine as they walked hand in hand out of his car and into the KFC where Wes works.
"I told you, we don't even have to order anything, I'm just dying to see Wes in one of those ridiculous hats," Blaine smirked, holding the door open for Kurt.
Kurt smiled in thanks and Blaine led the way to the counter.
"Oh my God, what the hell are you two doing here?" Wes' mouth dropped as his eyes widened.
"Good to see you, too, Wesley, how are you doing?" Blaine smirked at his best friend.
"How did you even show I was working here? Did David tell you? David told you. I'm so going to kill him. Where's my phone, I have to yell at him now."
"Well, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." Kurt stated when Wes had finally stopped rambling.
"Hmm," Wes was impatiently waiting for his hour to end so that he could hunt David down.
"So how's life going, Wes?" Blaine laughed.
"Oh, living the dream, what about you two?" Wes scowled bitterly.
Kurt smiled at his witty remark while Blaine rolled his eyes and smiled too.
"Aren't you going to ask us if we want anything, then?" Blaine asked.
Wes scowled at him again. "Fine. Welcome to KFC. What can I get you?" Wes asked in a surprisingly warm and sweet voice.
"Nothing, thank you," Blaine answered with a winning smile.
"What? WHY DID YOU JUST TELL ME TO ASK IF YOU WANTED ANYTHING, THEN?" Wes said a bit too loud.
"Practice…" Kurt said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Oh, whatever," Wes said, but he was smiling.
"Aww, would you look at that: he's glad we came!" Blaine beamed.
"Like I said, living the dream…"
"When do you get out? We were thinking of going for ice cream... Join us?" Kurt offered.
"Depends. Are you two going to just make out the whole time and share the ice cream like last time or not?" Wes eyed them both.
Both boys blushed but were smiling at the memory. "No, no, we'll be good this time," Kurt promised and it was Blaine's turn to eye Kurt questioningly, but Kurt just smiled at him mischievously and rolled his eyes.
"Twenty more minutes, do you mind waiting?" Wes asked hopefully.
"We'll wait," Blaine said and Kurt smiled, "Let me call David, too, I'm sure he'll want to come."
"THE OLD FOUR-O IS BACK TOGETHER!" Wes smiled broadly.
"We were all together last weekend." Blaine raised his eyebrows.
"Exactly. Last weekend. Four days are far too long." Wes said as all three of them smiled. "Now enough sentimental stuff, get David on the phone, I have some very strong words for him."
