I'm Here For You, Child of Antaria

Tyler awoke suddenly, her heart pounding, as she remembered what had recently happened.

Syrus had left her heart-broken.

Syrus had driven her away.

Forced her into exodus and to disappear into the silent night.

Tyler hated him for doing that to her.

Even though she still loved him.

Loved him with her entire heart.

And her heart ached to be in his arms once more.

She sat up and looked around the dark hotel room.

Her sanctuary and prison.

Zane had saved her, and taken her here, until she retrieved any common sense she may of had.

Zane had shown comfort and compassion for once in his life...

Shown it to Tyler.

The girl that thought he hated her.

The girl that, deep down, he knew that Syrus was still in love with.

Tyler's tear filled amethyst eyes squinted as light filled the room. Zane had returned, in hopes of seeing Tyler back to her somewhat insane self. His eerie ice blue eyes only saw the tears and he sighed. Tyler slowly got to her feet, her messy dark purple bangs falling into her eyes, and covering most of her face.

"Feeling better?" Zane actually smiled.

Tyler shook her head, and stepped back. She was trembling and looked even more depressed.

"Look, everyone at Duel Academy's worried sick about you, Tyler. You can't continue to hide from your problems." Zane said sharply, "Sooner or later, you're going to have to face my brother. Whether you like it or not."

Tyler looked away, shutting her eyes tightly, and swallowing the lump in her throat. She only opened her eyes when she felt Zane grab her arms gently, her hand on his chest and his arm. She opened her eyes to see Zane staring down at her, compassion in his cold stare.

"I'm here for you, Child of Antaria..." whispered Zane, bringing his face closer to Tyler's.

Tyler closed her eyes slowly, actually wanting for Zane's lips to touch hers.

Her heart pounded rapidly in her chest and her stomach did backflips.

She hadn't felt this way since the last kiss Syrus and her shared.

Tyler loved this feeling.

Nevertheless, as soon as Zane's mouth finally caught hers, Tyler desperately wished that it was Syrus kissing her.

Not Zane.

But Syrus.

Her undying love burst inside of her, causing her to pull away, sobbing.

Tyler sunk to her knees and cried harder and harder.

She just wanted to see him again.

Let him know she was alright.

Let him know she still loved him.

And would always love him.

Zane held Tyler as she cried.

Regret filling his heart.

He had betrayed his own flesh and blood.

But only to try and break the chains of heartbreak captivating her once joyful heart.

"I'm here for you, Child of Antaria..." whispered Zane once more.

Tyler choked out the only thing she could, "Thank you..."
