AN: What the heck was I thinking when I wrote this?? Yet I can't get this picture out of my head...
"No, Miroku."
So, Lady Kagome isn't receptive to my charms anymore. I sigh. And what was wrong with asking her to bear my children?
I'm about to turn away from the firelight when I catch a glimpse of Inuyasha.
I've seen him in a thousand situations, with a thousand different expressions, but I've never seen him look so... beautiful.
He's staring at the ground, with a faint grimace on his face. Thinking, probably. Those big, topaz eyes shine in the firelight, giving nothing away about his persona. His hair, thick and silky, curtains around him like a waterfall. And his ears... I find myself longing to know just how soft they are. If they're ticklish. If they're... I swallow nervously and attempt to steer my thoughts towards safer subjects.
I tear my eyes away from his ears, and end up focusing on his mouth. Full lips, pale pink. What would they feel like? Soft and yielding? Harsh and demanding, like the frown that they're set in right now? I've heard him growl before, in irritation, in battle. What would he sound like in a different situation? What if---
"I think I'll go to bed now." Lady Kagome stands up.
I am jolted back to reality. Inuyasha's still staring at the ground with that intense frown. My face heats up hotter than the fire. How long have I been staring at him?
Lady Kagome yawns and turns to leave. "Good night." Inu-Yasha gives a distracted grunt. Just before her face leaves the fire light, Lady Kagome's lips quirk up.
Maybe it's just me, but was that a smirk?
