I just couldn't believe, today was the day. The day I begin my Pokémon journey. I woke with a shock, and looked at my alarm clock. Why didn't it wake me up? Then I realized that it was 8…. Minutes to five. Great, four whole extra hours of anxiety and anticipation. I had just turned twelve yesterday. My mom had wanted me to stay one extra year. I grabbed my backpack, ate a quick breakfast, and went outside. Of course, it was still dark. Why wouldn't it be at 5:00 AM?
We just moved here about a month ago, so I decided to explore the town until morning. By then, I was sitting at the lake, watching the sunrise overhead. When that was over, I went inside, had a snack, and said goodbye to my mom. "Have fun, Elisa! Oh, and take Zoe, Lucas, and Lucille with you." Of course, I was expecting to go on my journey alone, but I had to take my three younger siblings with me? Just my luck. I dashed upstairs to Zoe's room, and told her that she was coming. She was really excited. I did the same thing with the twins' (Did I mention that Lucas and Lucille were twins?) room and told them word-for-word what I had told Zoe. Lucille clung to my leg and wouldn't let go, but Lucas was pretty neutral about it. We left for the Pokémon Professor's lab, but suddenly somebody ran and cut us off. "You gotta help me," he yelled. Zoe looked confused so she asked him, "Who are you?"
"I'll explain later. Come on!"
"That doesn't answer my question? WHO ARE YOU?" I gave up and ran. Zoe was really athletic and was able to keep up, Lucas was lagging behind a little, and Lucille was still on my leg, making it difficult to run. It's actually pretty lucky for her that she's so adorable.
We were just about to the lake when the boy who asked us for help caught up with us. We all got there together, and Lucille nearly fell off my leg in shock. There was horde of wild Pokémon attacking! There was a briefcase on the bank of the lake, too. I grabbed it, and opened it. There were three Pokeballs inside. I grabbed one, while he took another. We hoped that there was a Pokémon in at least one of them. I hesitated, but in the meantime the boy yelled, "Go!" and threw the Pokeball. Turns out, there was a Turtwig inside! I tried to replicate whatever he did, and a Charmander stood next to the Turtwig. Then we realized we had no idea what moves these Pokémon knew, so we retreated Turtwig and Charmander, grabbed the briefcase, and ran for our lives. And Lucille was still clinging tight to my leg. Even tighter than ever before. I have no idea why she is constantly on someone's leg.
Well, my Pokémon journey started out just great. *sigh* This is my life.
