Darkness concealed Sublimino's tears as he stood by his mother's bed. He saw the frown on his sick mother's face while her body remained under three blankets. He scowled at the thought of his mother closing her eyes. *Mom won't wake up after she closes her eyes* Sublimino thought.
''Thank you for being with me during my final moments,'' Sublimino's mother said before she smiled.
''Mom,'' Sublimino muttered. More tears ran down his face as soon as his mother closed her eyes. Sublimino shook his head back and forth.
*I will never be with her again. I will never see her smile another time* he thought. He noticed a pocket watch on a small table. A grin formed.
*I can defeat Death. If I remember correctly, Death wears a cloak and holds a scythe. I'll use this watch to hypnotize Death* Sublimino thought.
He approached the table and lifted the watch. Sublimino faced his mother and frowned. He was prepared to avenge her.
Sublimino departed before he walked to the front door. After opening the door and closing it, he wandered the dark streets of Bellwood.
*I'm looking forward to seeing Death* he thought with another grin. He paused the minute a cloaked form stepped in front of him. Sublimino gasped.
*Death!* he thought.
Sublimino trembled while he saw Death's scythe. He was unable to see Death's face due to the hood and absolute darkness. His wide eyes were on Death as the latter extended a hand. Sublimino shrieked and ran before he returned home.
A woman pulled her hood back. Her eyes widened as she tilted her head to in confusion. ''I'm on my way to a Halloween party. I wish to know what time it is,'' she muttered.
