She lay in a crumpled heap on the floor. Knees curled loosely to her chin as the glaze in her eyes dulled.
The room around her was in ruins. A broken lamp. An overturned table. Feathers and springs everywhere from maimed pillows and a mattress. Pipes could be seen through large gashes in the walls and a dented metal released a fountain on the stained carpet.
…stupid…
so…stupid…
Dark pink orbs clenched shut and slender hands gripped her head in pain.
...I'm…so STUPID
Her eyes snapped open, revealing vibrant pink. The ground started to shake and a few patches of ceiling fell just a few inches away from the quivering girl.
I shouldn't have left them. She thought.
Should have stayed where I belonged.
She'd lost her home, friends, place. All because of him. And now she had nothing.
A door slid open and a dark figure surveyed the chaos within. Trying to keep silent, though the pink sorceress had already heard the door open, the person stepped around the mess of broken glass and feathers. Eventually they stood, towering over her.
"Jinx."
She gave no response.
"Jinx," the figure sighed. The girl on the ground could hear the concern as she was addressed. She would have cared if she wasn't feeling so numb.
"Go away, Raven." She ordered hoarsely.
How long has it been since she last used her voice?
Since she stopped screaming?
"You can't stay here forever, Jinx." The purple haired girl above her chided.
"Watch me."
"It's been two weeks already."
"…"
When she knew that Jinx would not reply, Raven turned to leave, repairing some of the damaged room on the way out the door.
Hearing the door slide shut and footsteps walk away, Jinx curled herself into a tighter ball. Willing the pain in her chest to disappear.
So I really like this pairing and I really like angsty stories so I want to try my hand at one. Recaps coming. More into how the relationship went in the next one.
