In Gravity Falls, Oregon, Stan, Ford, Dipper, and Mabel are working on the machine. After it blew up, they had to rebuild it so no monsters come out of the potentially dangerous broken machine.
"This is boring!" said Mabel as she started to pick up Waddles. "Super Waddles is here to save the day!" she said while holding the little pig Waddles up. She accidentally tripped and knocked into Dipper. They started flying into the machine. "KIDS!" yelled Stan! Mabel threw Waddles yelling, "IF I DIE, I'M GIVING ALL I HAVE TO WADDLES!"
Stan shouts, "WE HAVE TO GET THEM BACK!" as he tries to jump in the portal. "The portal has taken in too much weight. It will explode at any second. You've lost them." explains Ford. "STANFORD! THOSE KIDS ARE THE ONLY FAMILY I HAVE LEFT!" yells Stan. "I'm sorry Stanley, but they're not coming back." Ford tells Stan.
Meanwhile Dipper and Mabel are teleported to a strange land. "Where are we?" asks Dipper. "We should find somebody and ask." says Mabel. They spot a beach house. "How about there?" asks Mabel. They walk up to the beach houses door and knock. "Hello?" a kid with red shirt asks as he opens the door. "I'm Dipper and this is my twin sister Mabel. We're lost and would like to know where we are." Dipper tells the weird kid. "I'm Steven and we are in Beach City!" Exclaims the weird red shirted kid. "Okay, but what planet are we on?" asks Dipper. "We're on Earth of course!" Steven answers.
"STEVEN! Who are you talking to?" asks a tall brownish red girl. "This is Dipper and this is Mabel! answers Steven. "I'm Garnet." says the girl. "Come in."
"This is Pearl and Amethyst." Garnet explains. "So you're all named after gems?" asks Dipper. "Yeah!" answers Steven. "We are the crystal gems." Amethyst tells Dipper. Dipper pulls out his journal and looks for the crystal gems. "There's nothing about them in the journal. Do you think we can trust them?" Dipper whispers to Mabel. "Of course! We NEED to get back! Waddles is back there! and also Stan and Ford. BUT WADDLES!" exclaims Mabel.
"Okay then! We are lost." Dipper tells the crystal gems. "Where are you going?" Pearl asks them. "We're going home to Gravity Falls, Oregon." Mabel tells them. "I've heard of that place. That's a whole dimension away!" exclaims Pearl. "Then how did you get here?" asks Amethyst. "Our Gruncle Ford built a machine which teleports you blah blah blah. It's all nerdy science talk." explains Mabel. "I think one of our warp pads can teleport you there." Garnet tells them. "Let's see."
As they approach the warp pad, they all say bye. Dipper and Mabel stand on it and Garnet activates it. They arrive back to Gravity Falls and Stan runs up to them yelling, "KIDS!" Dipper and Mabel tell him all that happened. Ford was surprised that there was magical beings such as gems in different dimensions. He started to research gems. Mabel ran to Waddles hugging him with all her might. Soos heard about what happened and started to write a fanfic about it. That is what you see in front of you right now.
