Waking up with a massive headache that lasted four seconds is either a blessing or a curse. Thought the ceiling above me could have been better. Since it wasn't even my ceiling from my room. It was a wooden planked ceiling, unlike the plaster one of my room. I was in a relatively small bed and I had gauze on my arm. I glanced over to my side to see a empty bed. I look at the window above it and saw a clear sky, clearly just mourning. I blinked a few more times and sat up, the blankets fell off me and which lead to me getting chills because of the room wasn't that warm. I ran my left hand through my hair, and got out of bed. I looked at the bed blankly, and could have sworn I saw something on the second bed.
I just shrugged it away and went to the window.
"Where... where the fuck am I?" I asked myself. I looked around. I didn't know this was anywhere I have been to.
I wearing only shorts like usual. I looked around the room and saw no signs of technology. No switch, no plugs, no nothing. Where the fuck am I? Outside was what looked like a town from 1742. People wore dark raggy clothes and children ran around in the streets with wooden toys. My nerd ass could only think of one thing.
"Back to the future." I said. As soon as I finished my statement the door to the room opened, and a little boy came in. He saw me and made a gasp sound. He turned and ran down the hallway. I shrugged and Naruto ran like a total weeb out the door and followed him. We got to a pair of stairs when we were greeted by a man with a shaggy moustache and hair.
"Ah, so your awake. Please, join us for some food." I smiled at his offer. We need more people like this in our world!
I was lead down into a small dining area, where I saw yet again another room devoid of tech. He sat me down, where, I guess his son was already sitting. I sat down and he came back with a plate of food. Just a loaf of bread that looked really good. He set it down and handed me a slice. Me being the glutton I am, ate it in 4 bites. He smiled as his wife came in and sat next to him.
"How can I repay you?" I asked as the little kid took a bite. The man and woman chuckled.
"You don't need to repay us Traveler. We simply saw a person passed out in the woods so we took you in. It was a good thing we did. You had a very large fever." He told me. I looked at him confused.
"I don't feel like I have a fever.." I said, as I took another slice of bread.
"Well, vulnerary's are good ways to get rid of little stuff like fevers." I nearly gagged. I heard that name before, I know I have. I think it's a healing tem from some game, but if this is a game, then we are in some crappy fanfiction I write in my free time.
"Um Miss, were am I? I don't recall were I am." I asked, to which the man laughed.
"Lad, your in Southtown, just a two days south from Ylisstol, the capital of this land." That made me choke on air. Ylisstol was from Fire Emblem, more importantly Awakening, my favorite in the series. If this is Awakening, and we are in southtown does that mean bandits will invade?
I mean, it could have happened years ago, or in the future because if there are bandits, I'm screwed since I have no weapon and no real fighting experince.
"Hey, has any bandits attacked this town?" I nervously asked. Judging from the confused looks, I guess never. I gulped.
"Do you have any shirt? I need to leave." I stood, placing my hands on the table. The father stood. He walked over to the counter and threw me a shirt. I caught a green shirt. I put on the shirt, and walked to the door.
"Thank you for your hospitality!" I rushed out as fast as I could, which earned me a few glares, but it's not like we have tattoos in plain sight, unlike some of the deadly sins from the anime with that name. Well, mainly Dainne and King...
I walked towards were we guessed was the exit. I got there, and stayed to ctach my breath. I looked over the horizon, like every cliché wild west movie. Add a tumble weed, a piece of wheat in my mouth and a few horse and we could film a movie right here.
"So, what now? Wait?" I asked myself. I realized I asked myself a question, and I sighed at the stupid question. I guess I could just head to Ylisstol. Ah, but I could miss the shepherds.
Wait, why would they hire me anyway? I probably suck worse than beginning Donnel. I mean, maybe I have like 0-1 in every stat, including health. I sighed.
"I mean, I could try? Maybe be their chief. Wait, they already have a chief in Stahl. Oh, I could be the mascot. Wait, could Nowi be that? I mean, she is cute enough to it." I looked over at me and people were looking at me like I was the Joker making a diabolical plan. Which was true to them. If so, may Batamn strike me where I stand!
BBBBRRRRRZZZZZAAAAAAAPPPPPPP
Ok, I said Batman, not electricity. But goddamn! Is this what Thor felt in Ragnorok? Or would Miles's enemies be a better use of words? Yes, lets go with Miles. But OH MY FUCKING GOD, it hurt. I was on the ground in no time flat, breathing like it was the end of the world, which it was for me. Suddenly, all those character who have breathing problems feel like they had it easy. I just couldn't breathe at all. Blood gushed out of my mouth. Great, I became old faithful. I could barely move my arms but I could move them enough to push myself up and stand on my feet. Someone messed with the colors in the world since all I could see was purple. Blood flowed more freely from my mouth, and my pants felt super wet. I felt the greatest pain in my chest, so I looked down.
I had a MAJOR hole in my chest. I couldn't see all of it, but I saw my fried organs that were severed off of my torso. That would explain why I couldn't feel my lungs or breathe. I almost passed out right there and then, but a new smell came into my nose besides the metallic smell of blood. Smoke, and usually fire was before it. Meaning I arrived at Southtown the day the attack started. I looked to the horizon, where Ylisstol was. I looked back at the village, which was burning. I wanted to run but I remembered that family that helped me. I have to help them. I turned, ingoring the flaming pain in my chest as I ran to the house I came from. I didn't get to the house before I encountered one of the bandits. First thing I thought of?
"OH MY GOD. Learn the term Bathing, Barney." I held my nose, though I doubt I could get any other smell in my nose. Shit, I wondered how I'm not dropping dead. Maybe adrenaline. He was a barbarian, maybe level 4... Wait, FUCK! Game mechanics might not work here! Well, fuck man. Entitle that in my grave stone. He drew his axe, a iron one if I can tell. He licked his chin, which was in despite need of some grooming.
"Hey, one of those pathetic villagers is at the wrong time at the wrong place." He said.
"It's the other way around idiot! It's at the wrong place at the wrong time. Learn to read." I shouted at him. His face twisted into a angry one.
"So, your a funny one, aren't you?" He said angrily ass he walked towards me slowly. Ok, maybe think of a insult so his self esteem will go down.
"Your the stupid one. Probably so stupid, your mother had to help you speak, but when she left you, you became a whiny bitch who to this day, still can't solve basic math and spell his name!" I got done with my rant and the barbarian looked like he was about to burst a blood vessel. Instead of walking to me, he ran. I doubt I can dodge with my chest injury. I wiped off my chest when he got close. I put my hands together and with whatever energy I had leapt to the side. But I was too late and he got a decent chunk of my left shoulder. Now that was bleeding like crazy. Worse part is that when I leapt to the side, I tripped on a fallen support column of a house and fell on the ground. Pain flew through my body as I tried to get up. I could breathe better than before some reason and my shoulder didn't hurt as much as I looked at him. He looked at his axe, red with my blood.
"Well, you hit me! Whatever shall I do?!" I pretended to panic, which wasn't hard since I was panicking since I had fatal wounds all over. What's next, a head injury? I focused back towards the bandit, who wasn't there anymore. I turned behind me and saw him bringing his axe up. Well, in the words of Akbaar, ITS A TRAP! I stepped backwards, but not in time. His axe was intended for my neck, but instead it cut up my cheeks. My teeth were exposed to more blood and oxygen then they could handle, which made them burn. Blood poured down my face from my cheeks like Niagara falls. He stepped over the pillar and looked at his axe. The entire axe now had my blood on it.
He walked towards me, but he stopped in his tracks. His eyes grew into ones of fear. What? Why would he be scared of little old me? It feels a little chilly and why do I smell horse? I didn't have time to say anything, which is ok since I can't say anything before he was skewered with a lance from behind me. I gulped and looked up at the loving face of Frederick the wary.
"Umm, hi sir?" I said. Wait how did I speak if I had my mouth cut open? And why is there no blood dripping down my chin.
"Hello villager. I advise you to leave the area before you receive any injuries." ANY INJURIES!? HOW CAN HE NOT SEE MY ZANT MOUTH, MISSING SHOULDER AND HOLE IN MY STOMACH?
"Excuse me, I do have injuries! Can you not see the giant cut on my.." I went to touch my face to demonstrate my point. I discovered that the cut was gone and so was the blood. I looked at my shoulder. Peach skin. I finally looked at my chest, which that too was peach colored with no hole. I put my hand on my chest and felt my heart beat.
"WHAT THE HELL?" I panicked. Did, did I imagine them? No, I felt them so they couldn't be imagined. Did.. Did I Deadpool heal them!?
"Villager, may you move out of the way so I may assist Milord and Milady in combat?" I looked up at him confused for a second. Then I remembered that he was talking about Lissa and Chrom. I pointed at him.
"Hey! I want to thank you before I go." Hey, remember the fact that there were myrmidons on this level? My hand used to know before it was cut off by one that somehow snuck up on me and Frederick. I looked at my bloody stump as Frederick quickly killed the myrmidon. He looked at me with a panicked face.
"Villager! Follow me to Milady! She will help yo.." He stopped his sentence as bone grew from my stump and then muscle came, wrapping around the followed by steam from the point of cutting. When the steam fell, my hand was there. I made a fist, middle finger, finger gun, Spider-Man sign, everything. My hand was fine and functional. Ok, I'm freaking out that I can regenerate like that...
Wait, that wasn't Deadpool healing. His takes longer and there isn't any steam involved in the process of healing. I looked up at Frederick, who didn't have a threating or smile face on. He had one of shock.
"Is.. Is that normal for you?" He quietly said. I just shook my head no.
"I think I regenerated before this exact moment." I said.
"How long ago was your first.. thing with that power?" He asked.
"About 10 minutes ago?" I said, to which he replied with a cold face. He looked at the dead myrmidons sword, a simple bronze one. He grabbed it and threw it to me. I didn't catch it, and it cut my thigh. Blood trickled for a second, then steam came. No cut. I grabbed the sword and looked at Frederick.
"Sorry sir. I have butter fingers." He sighed and trotted away. I followed behind, making sure I didn't hit from a surprise brownie from the horse. We walked over to a shopping center, where you first start the level normally. I already saw dead bodies on the ground, with stab wounds, burn marks, and are those... Bruises? Did Lissa beat them with her staff? Damn, that is scary. I feel like she learned that from Maribelle. Remind me not to get either of them mad. From my discovery, I looked towards the church and saw the group. It was like seeing a marvel movie climax, the sheer fact I was seeing them fight was so cool!
Chrom was seriously way cooler here then he was in the games. He was doing all the cool attacks he did in the fight he had with Lucina in the chapter 4 cut scene. Lissa was there, her staff was glowing from healing Chrom every time he got hit. Then there was Robin, who was default female build with brown hair. She was launching thunder spells, narrowing missing Chrom, the worst part was Garrick.
He wasn't fighting like he should be, he was fighting WAY better then he should be. He was whirling around, taking no damage from Chrom or Robin. That is another difference, experience. not like the actual exp you gain when you kill someone, like the combat sense. He seemed like Gangrel experienced in terms of combat prowess. I ran behind Frederick as he went to the group. Lissa was the first to see us. Her expression went from one of happiness to confusion. I was probably the source of confusion. Now that I think about it, didn't I write a fanfiction about Lissa and a OC? Ummm... I don't remember the title but it was a crossover with Zelda if memory serves correctly.
"Freddy! Thank goodness your here! This bandit is tough, and who is the villager?" First thing I noticed was that she was taller than I thought. I always thought she would be to the bottom of my pecs but she is at the base of my neck. Maybe I'm just short.
"I know not his name, but he does have a magical ability that caught my eye." Really? Regenerating a hand in seconds? THAT caught your eye? My, aren't you observant? Robin and Chrom walked in front of me, followed by Lissa. All 4 of them were in front of me, examining me like I was a prize deer.
"What is your name, villager?" Chrom asked. Robin jabbed his side, which caused Frederick to glare.
"Well, I don't think he is a Villager. He doesn't seem to appear like a villager due to his appearance." HOLY SHIT! Did robin just call out how every villager looks the same?! Man, I can't wait to see Donnel about that.
"Well, I stand corrected. What is your name traveler?" Holy, Chrom is nice. I can see why Frederick is so protective of this guy, he is so nice!
"Names Trevor. What's yours?" I mean, I knew their names, but it was a self correspondent question that came out naturally. Hey, I'm a helpful and nice person. Chrom looked up at Frederick.
"What do you mean by magical ability?" Chrom asked before I got a splitting headache. GOD FUCKING DAMNIT, it felt terrible and it hurt too! I looked at them who each had wide eyes and Lissa had a dropped jaw. Wait a minute.. I looked behind me and saw Garrick was in a softball throwing position, minus his axe and add a face of fear. Blood started to trickled down my face, so I wiped it way with my thumb. My hands went up and I felt the blade of his axe in my skull.
"Wow, now that's what I call a splitting headache." I joked as I felt my way down the axe to the handle. After finding it, I grabbed it with more force. I ripped it upwards and it came out. Blood really started to pour down my face and down my back and my head was just crying in pain. It honestly hurt like hell! I waited a second and all the blood in my eyes evaporated and my headache was gone. I touched my head again, feeling no large gash.
"He...He just regenerated that wound... he should be dead..." Robin mumbled. Chrom and Lissa said nothing.
"That is what I mean by magical ability.." Frederick replied with. I felt my cheeks lighten since I wasn't used to being looked at like this.
"Hey! I'm still human I think.." I mumbled. I turned to Garrick, who was slowly backing away. When he saw that I was looking at him, I could have sworn I heard a him shit himself! I looked down at his short axe and gained a idea.
"Hey, You forgot something buddy. Here!" By then, he turned full on dead sprinted. I aimed the axe, my hips, all of that. I pulled my arm back and threw the axe with all the might I could. The axe soared, no whizzed, at fast speeds. The axe itself found the back of his head and embedded itself in his skull. What I didn't think would happen in a thousand years happened. I threw the axe so hard when it embedded itself in his head, it just kept going with the head. It was ripped off from the body and it kept going until the axe found it's home in the church door. The body felldown, blood pouring from his stump of a neck.
I threw up at the sight.
I just killed someone! I just KILLED SOMEONE IN THE MOST DISGUSTING WAY POSSIBLE! Not when I saw my fried organs, not when I saw Frederick kill the barbarian, not when the myrmidon went down did I feel any remorse. I mean, I didn't even do those things, but I did do this one. I looked down at my vomit, which had pieces of bread swirling in it. I looked back at them as my legs started to lose feeling.
"Did..did I win?" I promptly collapsed on the ground.
I lifted my eye lids, to see the top of a familiar building.
I lifted myself upwards, the blankets falling off me. A pain in my chest told me I should lay back down, but the pain quickly disappeared. Maybe, maybe it was all a dream... I stood, and walked to the window, or at least tried to before I fell. My legs felt like they were soaking in some warm water, so they had no feeling in them at all. I used my arms to push myself upwards, only to find I couldn't since my arms were the same way. I looked around the room, and saw a wooden shaft of a object. I grabbed it and used it to hoist myself up, to be a yoda want to be. Hunched over and feeling weak in the limbs. I looked at the top of it, and saw I was holding a medic staff. Maybe Heal or Mend staff. Forget Yoda, I'm fucking Dwyer. I used the emercancy cane to wander over to the window, which to a bit considering the weak legs. I peered out he familar window and saw what happened wasn't a dream since a few of the building had scorch marks along with smashed windows and doors.
"Holy shit, it really did happen. Which means.." I took the staff and slammed it down on my foot as hard as possible. A crack came from my foot, which made tears come from my eyes because of the pain. I had to grit my teeth so I didn't yelp in pain. I looked at my foot as the bones popped back into place. I began to breathe really fast. 'Don't panic Trevor. Your just a medieval Deadpool with super strength. Was it super strength? I doubt it wasn't. I can barely lift over 60 pounds, decapitating a man and getting the tool used to decapitate said man stuck in a door can't be done by normal standards, at least for me.
A knock came from the door. "Hello? Are you awake?" I realized the voice as Lissa's, meaning this was probably her staff. I practically swan dive onto my bed for that perfect 10 from John. I sit as she opened the door. She walked in and closed the door behind her. She had a...note pad? Is this a physical? I had one of those like, a year ago.
"So, what's up?" I said, she looked like I just stabbed her cat.
"What's up?! You managed to nearly go into a mana coma! Those are near fatal buster! Those, I don't know if you can die though..." She looked like a sad little child. But how did they find out that I couldn't die? Did Frederick tell them or something? I looked in the room and found a bowl. Inside was a syringe and a scalpel. I looked at her, and she just looked up and whistled. I gave her a sarcastic eyebrow. Though two things bothered me.
"Why is there a syringe and what's a mana coma?" Lissa sighed into a depressed child, which looked cute too.
"Well, we thought if we took some of your blood we could make some Elixirs, but your blood evaporated before we could even get five feet away from you. As for the mana coma, it's when a person uses up nearly all their mana pretty much." Lissa said.
"Ah that makes sense... WAIT, USE MY BLOOD!?" I shouted. She held her ears from my scream.
"Ah, sorry for yelling. I was a little surpised that SOME RANDOM people tried to use me for their own health. Talk about greed..." I said, with some venom I didn't mean to put in. She sighed in defeat.
"Sorry, we were seeing if we could help the other Shepherds with some medicine. Oh, that reminds me. Chrom wanted to see you downstairs." I blinked. Chrom wanted to see me? That is semi cool since he is just a really cool fiction character that I mained in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate because I'm a weebo. I nodded, and she came over to me and I used her as support. We wobbled to the door, I wobbled because everything was sore and tired. I'm guessing that Lissa wobbled because of my weight on one point of her body. We walked to the edge of the stairs, where I began to feel my legs again.
"Hey.. I think I'm fine now. I can get downstairs myself." I said. She looked at me weird and shrugged. She released me and I walked to the stairs.
To which my legs gave way and I fell down the stairs. Every. Single. One of them. I have feel down stairs before but not to this degree! When I got a view of the world, I saw I had like 4 steps left. Ok, I can do this. I only have a mad headache right now and sore everything.
CRACK!
Fuck, I broke something. The pain came from my arm but a pop later it was all fine. Hipee, free health care and I'm not Canadian. Am I a stereotype for Canada? Yes, yes I am. Back to me on the stairs though. I stood and hunched over to breathe. I heard Lissa giggle and gag at the same time. I looked up to see Chrom, Frederick, Robin and the family that found me earlier staring at me with food in their hands.
"Well, I don't think I'll ever unsee that..." Robin mumbled. Chrom leaned over and whispered something in her ear and she gasped.
"He lost WHAT?" Robin screeched. The family sweated at the visitors speech. I took a seat at the table as Lissa finally decided to come down too.
"Well that's what Frederick told me. He said his hand grew from the stump." Oh, they are talking about me. Yay, my pinhead of a ego grew a slight bit. Lissa leaned into Chroms this time and whatever she told him he bursted out laughing.
"Oh my god. I see it... OH MY GOD I see it.." Chrom put his hand on his face as he had a laughing fit. I cocked a eye brow at that. I did not what to know what Lissa said about me, no thanks. I glanced at Frederick, who was staring at me with intense eyes and occasionally quickly glancing at Robin for a few brief moments. He saw me as more of a threat than Robin? I wouldn't blame him to be honest. I am a weird man and one that is a little psycho. He cleared his throat, gaining everyone's attention. The family took their leave form the room, which made me sad. The nice family is gone. Aw...
"Now I have a quick question before we propose our idea." Frederick cold stare and tone cut through me, but would probably be healed even if it was cut in general.
"Shoot." I said, taking a piece of bread from the plate on the table and taking a large bite from it.
"Shoot?" Robin asked.
"It means ask away." I said. She nodded with a weird lip thing.
"May we see your left hand?" I cocked a eyebrow. I began to pull up my sleeve.
"Yeah... sure.." I pulled out my palm and eyes widened.
Huh, no fucking way. I have a large ass tattoo on my palm. It was a thin red line that formed a circle and at the top of it was a small fox symbol. I knew the fox symbol too, which explained the strength and regeneration powers. That was Ban's brand from 7DS. Did.. Did I inherit his power? I glanced up and saw Chrom and Lissa's jaws were on the ground and Robin was confused.
"The legends... they are true..." Lissa mumbled. Chrom hand started to move towards Falchion, but it stopped midway. I was starting to panic why they were panicking over this.
"What!? What is wrong with this?" I yelled.
"That is the brand of the Sin of Division, who had a prophesy that would lead to the downfall of a man's creation. And judging by his brand, he is only at a sliver of his total power." He whipped out a lance to my throat so fast I couldn't react.
"Wha...what?"
