Title: Not Alone
Summary: Drabble. Brennan confronts Booth at the end of "The Boy in the Shroud."
Rating: K
Genre: Friendship, Hurt/Comfort
Characters: Booth and Brennan
Spoilers: The Boy in the Shroud
Author's Note: My first drabble. And, go figure, I managed to make it exactly 100 words, too. Not beta'd, since it's short and I decided that I thought it was okay. Plus, I've nothing better to do than post as it's the first snowstorm of the season, it's been snowing for 5 hours, we have at least 6 inches (and I'm in the city!), it will likely continue for the rest of the night, and I'm taking a short break from re-watching S2. Also, I've always felt that Brennan deserved a hug at the end of the episode.
Disclaimer: They're not mine, likely never will be.
"You told Cam."
It wasn't a question.
"Yeah."
She stood in the doorway to his office; he leaned back in his chair. Neither moved.
"Are you mad at me?"
Tilting her head, she thought for a moment before answering, "No. I don't think I am." Pause. "You did what you thought was right."
"Yeah."
She made to leave, but he called her back. "Bones. C'mere." He stood and pulled her into an embrace. "You're not alone; you know that, right?"
Face pressed into his shoulder and arms wrapped around his waist, she mumbled, "I know."
"Well, someday you'll believe it."
