A/N I haven't written in agggges but this is just a little idea I had and I had the urge to fic again. Let me know what you think. This is just the prologue (should be about 3-4 chapters). Hope you enjoy

The Wedding Dance

Prologue

Sloan Sabbath had never been a dancer.

Throughout her early childhood her mother had tried her best to change this unalterable fact, but despite tutu after tutu and tap shoe after tap shoe, Sloan Sabbath was still not a dancer. If the other girls spun one way she would spin the other, if they led with their left feet she'd lead with her right and despite her best efforts to please the mother who dreamed of nothing more than a daughter that fit the conventional 'little girl' mould she just couldn't find her rhythm.

She had tried, really tried. Everyday across the lounge, awkwardly prancing in front of the mother who was rapidly losing interest in the child whose hair wouldn't hold the pink bows that she'd bought at fifteen years old ready for the daughter that she dreamed of .But this daughter wasn't like that- this daughter didn't like the pink bows and this daughter couldn't dance.

At the age of seven Sloan Sabbath fell in front of the whole class and the whole class laughed. Two hours later when she got home she noticed her mother's coat was not on the rack, her mother's bag was not on the chair and her father was not at work but sat on the sofa clutching a glass of dark liquid and a note in her mother's hand writing.

That was the last day Sloan Sabbath danced
