Who Is River Song?
Summary: A short drabble on my Theory of who Professor River Song really is. Please note, this is MY theory and may be completely wrong. Spoilers for 'Silence in the Library' and 'Forests of the Dead' most likely.

She wanted to tell him. She really did. From the moment she saw his face and realised he wasn't the one she knew so well. From the moment she realised he was still travelling with Donna, and only Donna.
From that moment, she'd wanted to tell him. To let him know exactly how it is that she knew his name, when so few others in the whole of space and time did.
Sighing gently, she closed her book as she recorded the latest adventure in it and looked over at him as he fiddled with his Sonic Screwdriver trying to get something working on it that only he could understand.
He hadn't been happy when he'd noticed she had his screwdriver too. The one from the future obviously. But she couldn't tell him WHY she had it. 'Spoilers' was all she was allowed to say. By his own rules.
Gah! This was confusing.
But no, no matter how much she wanted to, she could never tell her dad that soon, her mother would be returning from the alternate universe.
No matter how badly she wanted to remove the stress, worry and care lines from his face, she could never tell him her full name.
River Song Tyler.

AN: Told you it was just a short drabble. And this is my theory because A) I'm a Rose/Ten shipper through and through and refuse to think of him with anyone else, and B) It's the only theory that (to me) makes sense other than she's his wife OR another relation (Grandaughter etc).
