An Unforseen thought
" This has got to be the worst idea you've ever had Harry James Potter!"
"Oh come on Hermione you've gotta admit it will all be useful" pleaded Harry,
Hermione scowled as she pushed her hair back from her face and stared at the nonchalant boy fidgeting anxiously across her.
" But of course this crazy idea must be child's play compared to what fighting dragons, dementors and what not" muttered Hermione.
Harry's eyes shot up searching his friends face for any sign of assurance. There was hope.
"Does this mean you're in?" said Harry.
Hermione sighed and slumped back into her chair staring into the fire, " As much as I hate to admit it yes… I am."
At once Harrys face broke out into a grin as he too stretched back into his chair in silent relief.
Silence stretched between the two, as both teens were lost in their thoughts, one of excitement while the other of weariness.
"It will takes months, even years but if we succeed, it will be a security," whispered Hermione.
Harry carefully reached out and gently caught Hermione's hand in his own, staring into a face that displayed the hidden torment so often he too held. Not if, but when" murmured Harry as he started fiercely into her eyes.
Hermione's face softened as she squeezed Harry's hand and abruptly rose from the chair causing Harrys hand to fall. Smiling she turned with an eyebrow raised, "So will it be you or me telling our beloved Ron that he will soon be very much in touch with his animal side."
