Alright, this was getting ridiculous! I was pacing around my room, as nervous as I had ever been. I know Edward has to hunt, but he has been gone for over six hours. I wondered if something terrible had happened to him, preventing him from coming back. I started hyperventilating.

Suddenly, a pair of marble arms wrapped their way around my waist. I quickly turned around and all my tension melted away as soon as I caught sight of Edward's face. "Hi there," I told him.

"Yo, Hot Mama, Bam! I'm hea!" he replied.

I could do nothing but stare open mouthed at him, since when was Edward Cullen a gangster? The two words didn't even belong in the same sentence.

"Me and my homie E-Money have been chillin' watchin' some Pimp My Ride. I picked up some stuff from Xibit."

Oh. My. God. I cannot believe that Edward not only left me to go watch television, but that he was watching that strange show on MTV!! I was hurt that he no longer rushed back to see me like he used to. I knew he would outgrow me eventually.

Edward's face instantly became appalled the moment he saw the hurt in my face. "What's the matter?" He asked me.

"Nothing," I told him, trying to hide my disappointment that I was less important than a TV show.

"Bella, please tell me what's wrong," Edward was more insistent now. "Don't tell me you're embarrassed to confide in me." His face, as well as his voice, was disbelieving.

"Well," I began, "I was really anxious for you to come home and now I just found out that instead of coming here, or at least calling me, you were watching a TV show with 'E-Money'. By the way, who is that?"

Edward looked at me with love and, to an extent, humor in his expression. "I was teasing, love, I would never prolong the amount of time I have to be away from you. Trust me, when we are apart, it is just as miserable for me as it is for you. Oh, and E-Money is Emmett."

I let out a loud huff. I pretended to act annoyed, but I was truly relieved that Edward really did love me more than the TV.

"So, what were you doing while I was away?" He asked, seeming genuinely curious.

"Well, I organized my room a little; I wanted it to be in some semblance of order when I go away to college." Only the last part was a little hard to get out.

"It looks very nice," he told me.

I noticed that I had left some pencils out on the desk. I must have forgotten to put them away before I started pacing. I walked over to where they were sitting and tried to turn around and put them in the pencil case that I had on my desk. But, of course, when I attempted to twist around, my legs got tangled and I started to fall. Edward, naturally, tried to catch me, but when he stuck his arms out, the pencils I had been holding hit Edward's arm. Even though I knew the weak pencil lead couldn't hurt him, I was still nervous.

I suddenly remembered my first day at Forks High, while I was talking to Mike Newton. Mike had noticed Edward's immediate dislike of me and he asked me, "So, did you stab Edward Cullen with a pencil or what?" Mike's statement had now become a prediction of what was to come. He was an even better psychic than Alice.
