"A game?" Hiiragi Yuzu looked up from the book she was reading to Tsukikage who was tapping away at his laptop. Her interest piqued, she set the book down and moved over on the couch they were both currently sitting on to look over his shoulder.
"Yeah. Hikage told me about it." She watched as he performed an array of skills on his character, trying to cut down an enemy monster. He hissed in annoyance when it got past his defenses and threw his character off a ledge. "I'm still not strong enough to solo that guy."
This gave her an idea. "Why don't we team up?" He glanced at her, raising a thin eyebrow. Chuckling, she ran her fingers through his ponytail, placing a kiss on his forehead. "I'll be right back."
"Yuzu?" Tsukikage is genuinely surprised when she comes back in five minutes with her own pink laptop to set up next to his.
"What's the site so I can download the game?" she looks serious and he nervously tells her the site details.
Once the game was done downloading, she fussed over the character selection screen before finally deciding on a huntress. A good starting character, he thinks to himself before returning to his own laptop to set up a meeting place for her so he can walk her through the game.
His own character is a mage, good for offense at a distance but a glass canon. She teases him about it, saying that she thought he'd have been an assassin.
"I'm not always about ninjas."
"Suuuure." She prods his back, and waits for him to teach her how to play.
It takes only a few hours for her to get the hang of the game and now they're both standing in front of her first dungeon boss.
"Ugh, it looks so gross..." her fingers are steadily tapping the keyboard as she uses skill after skill to whittle its health bar down. He agrees. Even outside video games, spiders were not exactly his favorite thing either. "Oh, he's poisoned me!"
Tsukikage quickly casts a poison debuff and smiles behind his mask. "Would I have been able to do that if I had been an assassin?" He full out laughs when she glares at him from behind her screen.
"Oh hush, it's almost dead." She maneuvers her character away from one of the spider's web nets and slashes at the spiders legs again, finally hacking through the chitin and removing spider loses its balance and topples over.
"Aim for its weak spot, Yuzu!" Tsukikage casts another buff on them both and aims a fire spell at the spider's underbelly. Her character leaps and jams her sword at the spider's neck. A few more cuts and the spider finally dies.
"Yeees!" she actually stands up to cheer and then reaches over her laptop to high five him. "Wanna keep playing?"
"..." he turns his head to squint at the clock hanging on the far wall. "Let me call anija and tell him I'm staying here for the night." Her grin becomes impossibly bigger as they both set up their laptops for another round of dungeon crawling.
