Really I need a do over
Finn placing the hastily packed bags into the boot of his car and opening the front door for Quinn to get in. The air thick with some regret and some relief of tell her parents that she had fallen pregnant. Remembering just half an hour ago knowing her father would be upset but the over reaction and giving her the boot out of the house seemed extreme to her.
Finn started the car and pulled off driving away from Quinn Fabray home. The idea of sing to Quinn was a good idea but this not how he imagined the outcome of the song.
"Sorry Quinn that you got kicked out of the house" feeling that her father had been unreasonable about the situation.
"It's Ok", a weak smile came over her.
"It's not Ok and I am sorry I messed things up for you", trying to reassure Quinn of a difficult situation that they both have found themselves in.
Looking out of the side window in the car and then back at him, "Finn it is sweet of you to sing to me and the baby" as tears started to roll down her cheeks.
"I didn't know that your parents would react lie that" looking in the review mirror for any cars behind him.
"That is why I was waiting for the perfect moment", sighing deeply
Finn shaken his head and remembering how his mother found out that he had become a father, "There are no perfect moments to drop something like this any way" placing his hand on Quinn's baby bump.
Silence filled the car for the next couple of minutes.
"Finn why and who gave you the idea of singing to me."
"I…" before the next words came out of his mouth slow and methodically, "I just wanted to express how I felt and Kurt said if I could not put what I felt in words I should do it in song."
"Kurt suggested this and did Kurt suggest singing to me at dinner as well?"
"No not really, that was me."
Silence permeated the car again. Quinn feeling that no matter how her parents found out the out come the same. She needed a do over in telling her parents she was pregnant but none of this mattered now. Do over or not she suspected the out come the same.
