Before she went to Mexico or ran the test … before she even went up to the director's office … she knew that something bad was about to happen, something very bad.
For one, she's never called to Director Vance's office and two, a mini Caf-Pow? Gibbs told her that he would always have her back and that he had always had. That should have been good enough, but did she know that she was going to have to have his and could she? Could she compromise her principles for a man that, not only did she admire, but look up to as a father figure. Did she know that her world was going to be turned on it's axis when he handed her that mini Caf-Pow?
How could she turn her back on this man that she loved … how could she and why did she have this knowledge to do just that? Why was she a brilliant forensic scientist?
"Abbs … I'll love you no matter what and yes, you are like a daughter to me and I'm proud to say that."
He kissed her on the cheek and handed her the glue as he held the two pieces of the chair leg together.
