Once upon a time, there was a beautiful spring day. The sky was clear and the sun was shining bright while the birds were singing happily. The forest was very beautiful, lit by the sunshine that was passing through the branches of the big trees. Suddenly, the natural peace was interrupted by running footsteps and loud voices that were coming from far away. The footsteps got closer to a tree and a fast figure climbed the tree and hid behind its branches until a few men, the owners of the loud voices, passed by without noticing the person they were looking for was up there.
When the men left, the boy hid in the tree revealed himself, now standing on a branch where he could be seen. By looking at him you could notice his blonde hair, his blue and dreamy eyes, the fact that he was very young [somewhere around 20 years old] and also, that he was thinking of something.
Flashback:
The road was empty. There was only a coach with two brown horses on it that was moving forward. Inside the coach, there were a middle age couple, and a young boy who seemed to be their son. The women was dressed in a light purple and white dress, while the man wore a brown suit. The boy was wearing a light blue baggy shirt and light brown pants. The way he looked, with his hair a bit long and unbrushed and that clothing made him seem messy but also cute, even if his mother was looking at him with a disappointed look.
"Come on, Allen, you like spending your time at the old heritage your grandma left for you when she died, so why not move there and take care of that heritage?" his mother said, trying to make the boy wake up from the day dream he had while watching the scenery the coach was passing by.
The boy sighed and said in an absent voice: "I wanna go to college⦠I wanna study and make my own fortune by writing books. My grandma would want that too for me if she was still alive."
The trip continued until they reached the heritage. There were lots of people and when the boy felt too much pressure on himself, he didn't know what to do. He then saw something little walking in the grass and he was sure that was no animal. As the little being was moving, he could notice what it was and asked in a loud voice: "An elf?" the people watched him in surprise as he started to run, chasing after what he saw in the grass. When the people from the heritage were running after him, trying to take him back, the boy hid in a tree and left them chase in the forest near the heritage.
End of flashback
Now there he was, thinking of the stories his grandma told him once about the elves and the Wonderland, a place he always wanted to visit when he was a child. But he couldn't finish thinking, because the branch he was standing on broke and he fell in a hole at the bottom of the tree he was in. The hole was like endless as he was falling through it and was watching lots of things like furniture and musical instruments falling also.
He landed on a bed, in a dark room, where the only exit appeared to be a hole in one of the windows, even if it was too little. The boy walked around the room and one of his feet hit something. He picked up the little object that appeared to be a little bottle and read what was wrote on the label: "Drink Me!". He opened the bottle and drank whatever was in it. He felt something was wrong with his body and in a few seconds, he transformed in a little being that could exit through the crack in the window.
When he got outside, he saw shadows of beings as big as he was now and ran after them. When they stopped, an amused voice greeted him while the body of a cat was materializing from nowhere:
"Welcome to Wonderland, Allen!" the cat said and he was amazed because the animal also had a smile on it's face, letting alone the fact that it talked.
