So… it's been a while… It's been a rough time… If I'm not at school, I pretty much babysit every day. Every. Day. A tiny baby shouldn't suck so much energy out of me, but he does. Not even getting paid for it. I'm also supposed to be working on my midterm, but I'd rather type this up because I wrote it during class in-between slides and I just have so many feelings about this season but I'm too tired to do anything... It's just… ugh. Thankfully the RT app works on my tablet so I'm educating a 7 month old on the wonders of RWBY and Achievement Hunter (and the occasional Backwardz Compatible) but still! I need time to dive into fandom… even if it's just short little things like this. Anyway, I own nothing. Nothing at all. Hope you enjoy.

Also, spoilers for new season. Just episode one though. Still, go watch if you haven't. Or watch again if you have, because it's awesome.

Harmless

They all knew appearances could be deceiving… that they very rarely actually matched up with the characteristics of their personality. After all, Ruby looked like some sweet little girl who couldn't hurt a fly and spent the day baking cookies for charity… at least until she pulled out her scythe and chopped off a Grimm's head. Or just pulled the scythe out in general, because then she would start talking about how beautiful it was and fangirling over weapons.

And Nora looked like some stereotypical ditz who couldn't find her way through a door sometimes, but that was the girl who could and would send a person flying through the roof with a good swing just for the fun of it. And Ren looked… well, he looked just like the ninja he was, but he certainly didn't look like he could ever win a prank war, which he actually did against Nora -something she blushes suspiciously over, but neither of them talk about. And Jaune… He was as harmless as he looked sometimes, although he was getting better -both in looking stronger and actually becoming stronger.

So, when this dorky looking farm boy showed up at their door asking about Ruby, it made all of them put their guard up. After all, why would some stranger come by asking for them? In their experiences travelling together, it never went well for them.

And the whole 'Oscar-is-Ozpin' but also 'totally-not-Ozpin' thing? Well, that had been shocking… and weird. Very very weird hearing Ozpin's words out of this untrained boy. It was something no one -except maybe Qrow- was used to yet.

No, this strange boy was definitely nowhere near as harmless as he looked to them.

But then again… no one ever was.

No one can tell me that Oscar is completely Oz. We've seen that poor boy talking to himself like… last season. He's not Ozpin… yet. And he'd better not become like… exactly like Ozpin personality wise, because I like Baby Oz (my affectionate nickname for little Oscar). I totally ship with Ruby though, and the whole Ozpin thing might make that weird… not that it stopped me from kinda, cracky shipping Ozpin with Ruby… I don't know, strange things come to mind when I should have been asleep hours ago. It's just… I don't know. I like the friendships with RNJR and he came out of nowhere and so there's this little fic about why the instant guard when up. I don't know. Anyway, thanks for reading, feel free to comment, make my day/night/whenever-I-see-it-cuz-class! I'll be around again soon (hopefully) so see y'all then!
