Dean and Cas were standing in an empty field, staring at the colors bursting above their heads.

"Knockin' On Heaven's Door" could be heard over the noise of the fireworks, coming from the Impala parked behind them. They had been standing there for a long moment. Minutes, maybe hours. But it felt right. Dean reached for Cas' hand in his trenchcoat pocket.

"This is nice, Dean. Thank you for showing me this." The angel gave him a soft smile.

"Yeah, 'course, Cas. Happy Fourth of July." Dean returned the smile.

For the first time in a long time, he was happy. In the backseat of the Impala, a thirteen year-old Sammy woke up, just in time to see his older brother leaning into the angel and pressing a soft kiss on his mouth.

A/N : I tried to portray Dean's heaven, sorryyy, anyway hope you liked it!
