Disclaimer: Honestly if I owned them there would be more Harry/Nikki action than cases going on. ;)
"Nikki I thought I told you to go home" Leo said as he spotted Nikki sitting on a stool in the morgue, a folder spread out on the table in front of her, she looked up and gave him a small smile.
"Hey Leo, I was just looking through the case file"
"No" Leo shook his head and walked over to her "You are going home, when was the last time you slept?"
Nikki looked away from him and back to the folder.
"Leo I need to find who did it"
"No you don't, not right now" Leo replied "When was the last time you slept?"
"Yesterday, the day before?" Nikki shrugged "Can't remember"
"And that's a bad sign" Leo sighed and placed his hand on her arm and gently helped her from the stool she was seated on.
"You need to sleep Nikki otherwise you are going to start making mistakes"
"Yes dad" Nikki mumbled and Leo's heart lurched when she said this.
"Come on I'll drive you home" he told her and Nikki sighed and nodded.
"Okay. I'm tired Leo I just cant seem to sleep not on a big case like this. And I'm tired of going home to an empty house, I'm tired of being alone"
She closed the folder and tapped it on the surface of the bench and took a deep breath which turned into a yawn.
"Come on" Leo said quietly and took her hand in his and led her out of the autopsy room "You're not alone Nikki. You have me and Harry, don't worry we wont let you feel alone"
Nikki glance at Leo and smiled, she leant up and kissed him gently on the cheek
"Thank you"
I thought I had done over kill on Harry and Nikki fics lately so I decided to do a little Nikki/Leo father/daughterish fic instead. :D
