"I'm not sad," the blond next to him said loud enough only for him to hear, Yoh just smiled, "I never said that," he replied still smiling.
"But you thought about it," she continued, "I'm not sad, I don't need your stupid pitty" she spit and Yoh could feel the venom in between her words, "someone as weak as you shouldn't pity me."
"I'm sorry," he apologized grabbing his drink from the bar and a plate one of the patch had just put there for him, his order. He nod at her as a goodbye, feeling the stares of his teammates burn on the back of his neck, but only a few steps forward he decided to go back to the blond, giving Ryu and Faust an apologetic smile.
"Actually," he said as he placed his drink and plate next to the girl "I'm not really sorry for thinking that," he continued, taking a bench and placing it next to her, not bothering to ask for her permission to join her, "I do think you look sad," he took a quick sip from his glass, "sad and lonely and miserable and angry" he said, ignoring the irritated stare the girl was giving him.
"I'm angry because you're obnoxious" she said, "leave before I hurt you" she warned but remained still, taking a small bite out of her food and waiting for a reply that Yoh never vociferate, "no," she said firmly, "I don't want to eat with you, leave immediately before you get on my last nerve" she repeated but once again, the boy just sat there and continued his meal.
"What's your name?" he asked casually after a few minutes, but it was her turn to remain silent, she concentrated on her food and her magazine and tried to ignore his presence. A minute passed, two minutes passed and Yoh found himself growing impatient, "what's your name?" he asked again and with an exasperated sigh the blond girl replied her name was Anna.
"I'm Yoh" he said sticking his hand out for her to shake, which she never did.
"I know, and you knew my name was Anna, so why bother?"
