I am 30, I have been for the last 85 years, I live in Los Angeles, and I have been a Private Investigator for the past 60 years, the only thing is in that time I have not aged a day. You see, I am a vampire, and not the snarly bitey kind either, I help people. I went through life making up for what I am.

You see when I was 30 I went to war. I fought and suffered to protect my country, and when i was injured protecting my country I came home a hero. I suffered from PTSD for a while, I ended up starting a band with a few of my army buddies.

That's where I met Coraline DuVall, she was smart and sexy and interested in me. We had a whirlwind romance, it was hot and heavy and in only two months we were engaged. She was complicated and indifferent. She strung me along, I guess I should have seen that coming.

The night of our wedding, I got more than I bargained for, you see I didn't know it but Coraline was a vampire and that night she turned me, she made me what I am and I hate her for it everyday, I didn't have a choice. My ex-wife is my sire.

When I came to I refused to eat, she forced blood down my throat to complete the transition until I ran away, she found me two months later eating rats in a decrepit alleyway. When I refused to eat, she slit the throat of a young girl that couldn't have been more than 20 years old, until the temptation was two hard to bare and I sank my teeth in. After then I met Josef Kostan who was a massive help to me, after he realised that I didn't want to eat hooked me up with his morgue and hospital attendants, this is how I later met the morgue attendant, Guillermo Gasol. Who later became my contact for missing persons and death cases involving the morgue. Josef became my surrogate sire, and taught me everything that Coraline should have either told me before becoming a vampire or should have shown me after.

I decided to become a Private Investigator to make up for what I was turned into, to make sure that I did some good in the world, and that's how I meet Beth. That was back in the 80's now here I am I have my Beth and the family that I never thought was possible.
