He could hear her voice, whispering to him. As his eyes solemnly shut, he could only regret not being able to see her last time. Not being able to hear her laugh.. Her voice rang through his head, as if she was calling to him. A smile slowly crossed his face as he drew in his last breath. The life soon faded from him, his body sinking into the depths of the water. Lower and lower..Until eventually he had completely disappeared
Not too long ago before his death, there was a period of joy. Happiness. He had a beautiful woman at his side. The duo were seen together quite often, and both seemed to be quite joyous. There were few moments when the two were upset or troubled.
Of course, Tsunade had a few issues being Hokage. But still, the pervy sannin showed up daily to take her out for something to drink or just to say hello while he was writing his book. Though at times he hadn't shown up, because of his 'research'.
The only sad thing about their story is that there were no children, no marriage. No nothing. They were just friends. Neither could tell the other that they loved one another. In the end, their loved had shattered. With Jiraiya's death, Tsunade fell into a depression. She avoided speaking to others the best she could.
Her job required that she talk to people. She couldn't escape that.
Alone, she sat. Staring at the water beneath her. Her reflection gave that same pitiful look right back. A single tear rolled down her cheek, falling and causing a ripple effect in the water below. She sat quietly, not uttering a word. Behind her, Shizune stood, quiet as well.
There were no words the young woman could say to cheer up Tsunade. Her lover had fallen. Not even her lover. Remorse. Regret. This was all she could feel. If she had even said anything... Why didn't he! She knew how he felt! She was just waiting for him to come around. But he never did.. Now this happened.
She slowly closed her eyes, whispering softly. "I love you..Jiraiya."
