Hey! Soo this is my first fanfiction and I'm pretty pumped! I don't own MR but I'd love to! I also have no idea if these hearing aids are actually real so if they are I don't own them…if they aren't then I own them! I apologize to anyone deaf or with hearing aids…I don't know what it's like so I'm kind of just making it up as I go and hoping for the best! Alright! Here's the story!
Prologue
Gwen POV
Do you know how wonderful high school is? Well if not, it's great. Haha yeah right! I mean, it's not that bad, seeing that you learn some stuff, but for a gal with hearing aids, it's pretty tough. Not to mention being the daughter of the two most popular people on the planet, Maximum Ride and Fang. Yes, they did save the world from Itex who was planning on mutating everyone until they got a genetically modified "super race," and yes they are wonderful parents, but sometimes it's hard to just drift into the shadows. So I make the best of it. I play so many sports it's hard to keep track of them all and I'm pretty good at most of them.
Hearing aids? Yeah you heard me right. But most people don't know so shhhhh… You see, I was born 93% deaf and have worn hearing aids all my life. Ever since mom and dad saved the world though, and we moved to a new state, nobody knows about my unhearing past. You see, scientists (cliché, right?) invented these new hearing aids that stick way inside my ears and have a cord that follows a path that goes around the top of my ear and stick to the back of my head, hidden behind my long blonde hair that I dyed lavender over the summer. So nobody can see them. Thank goodness. Well I'm off to my first day of junior year. Wish me luck!
